Wow, just read some reviews. What the fuck are they thinking with doing 60$ game price, + 40 $ season pass and microtransactions?

I'm pretty sure they set out to make a 100% multiplayer game like Siege and just tacked on some lame single player campaigns nobody wanted to try to justify charging full price.
But microtransactions in a fucking full price game?
Sadly that has become common place. Battlefield 1, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided etc. and I don't even want to look up what fuckery Ubisoft is doing. It's a disgusting practice, but people gobble it up for some reason.
FOR HONOR™? More like FOR SEASON PASS™.
But microtransactions in a fucking full price game?
You say this like is hasn't been a thing for the better part of a decade. As long as it doesn't offer players a way to pay to win or gain unfair advantages over non-payers I don't really see the problem with it.
The season pass really only gives 1 week early access to new characters. All maps and game modes will be free as well as characters being purchasable with in-game currency after the 1 week early access period.
Everything is purchasable with the in-game currency which you get a lot of.
I had a friend that preordered this game + season pass after playing the closed beta and had the audacity to justify the microtransactions being good because they help developers maintain the servers. He was full aware the game is P2P. I'm starting to think he doesn't know what that means.
The worst part is the game requires you to always be connected to Ubi's servers yet they still only do unstable as fuck P2P for multiplayer
I like how the game's overall score is artificially boosted. Like the video above, if you look at the reviews, they're ALL negative.
Base gameplay is good, but wait for a sale

B: They think the Salt Pile videos from IP and YS will actually lead to serious sales.
But microtransactions in a fucking full price game?
It's just cosmetics, that's pretty standard and not really a problem tbh.
I really enjoy this game and think it's good, albeit a tad overpriced. Each cosmetic item can be unlocked with ingame currency, which takes a bit of time especially if you play multiple heroes. Actually, it's rather similar to Rainbow Six Siege, just with expanded customization options.
