'Don't mess with our food': Burger King worker who posted pictures of himself standing in bins of lettuce hunted down by vigilante website users and fired We're used to hearing stories of how fast news can travel on the internet. But rarely do we see how effective it can be at tracking down suspects who would otherwise remain anonymous. When a Burger King employee posted pictures of himself stepping in bins of lettuce, offended fast-food lovers took a mere 15 minutes to expose him. Busted: A Burger King employee who took pictures of himself stepping in bins of lettuce was tracked down by users of the internet site he posted on The image was captioned with the words, ‘This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King’ and posted on internet image board 4chan.However, the other 4chan users were so appalled by the man’s actions they took the GPS data included in the picture and pinpointed where it was taken. Once the local news media were contacted, it was only a matter of time before the unsanitary suspect was uncovered.4chan users involved in the manhunt expressed their disgust on the site. [t]http://i.imgur.com/3S1wS.png[/t] Outrage: Disgusted by the pictures, 4chan users worked out where the images had been taken and tracked down the man, who was fired 'Enjoy getting fired,' said one. 'Just got off the phone with the manager,' said one user who called the franchise after tracking down the address of the branch. 'He's pissed'. 'LOL. OP is gonna be in trouble...Don't f**k with people's food,' says another. Their actions were so applauded, another internet site, Reddit, made a montage of the postings in celebration of the users' detective work. The alleged perpetrator was a long-term employee at the Mayfield Heights branch of the fast food restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio, reports the Huffington Post. The man will be fired along with the shift manager who was on duty at the time says the news source. I can't read the 4chan post can you provide a link to the post or a much clearer image?
Kinda reminds me of that guy that filmed himself taking a bath in the Burger King kitchen
Damn 4chan is actually pretty great at this stuff. Simple but effective.
I can't read the 4chan post can you provide a link to the post or a much clearer image?
Also, the source makes it sound like 4chan did it in a vigilante way, while they probably only did it to fuck with him. The one who threw puppies in a river on the other hand, there I'd say they wanted to punish the guy doing it.
4Chan is a horrifying mechanism.
It's good that he got fired. What a dick. Also, never piss 4chan off.
4chan and disgusted? That means a lot of trouble.
reminds me of old /b/ diddnt they fuck with that woman that put the cat in the bin about a year ago?
And what do we learn from this, kids? NEVER piss off 4chan. Or if you do, make sure there's absolutely NOTHING they can trace.
It's disgusting to know how some of these fast food chains run their shit. Luckily, not all fast-food joints are this bad. Chick-fil-A is the best of them all when it comes to respecting the company and those who work there.

Lettuce and cats is the only thing you dont fuck around with when 4chan watches.
Sure they found the guy, but he wasn't even trying to hide himself. He had the goddamn GPS data for where the picture was taken attached to it. It was pretty much "look at GPS data, call local news media, mission accomplished."
The FBI should hire these guys. Fucking insane work right there.
Or he was just dumb as fuck.
This is more likely.
The FBI should hire these guys. Fucking insane work right there.
It was just looking through EXIF data, which anyone can do.
And what do we learn from this, kids? NEVER piss off 4chan. Or if you do, make sure there's absolutely NOTHING they can trace.
They're like a pack of frenzied blood hounds. Only numbering in the thousands, if not millions.
They're like a pack of frenzied blood hounds. Only numbering in the thousands, if not millions.
And their bark sounds like 'FAG. FAGFAGFAG.'
And their bark sounds like 'FAG. FAGFAGFAG.'
'NIGGER. NIGGERNIGGERNIGGER' sounds more like it.
Their actions were so applauded, another internet site, Reddit, made a montage of the postings in celebration of the users' detective work.
and here comes reddit "oh good job 4chan! we will have to keep an eye on this new site 'www.4chan.org' !" pompous assholes
This screams successful enlistment of personal army Or the OP was just an unbelievable retard
and here comes reddit "oh good job 4chan! we will have to keep an eye on this new site 'www.4chan.org' !" pompous assholes
I like to think of 4chan as that big stupid kid at school. The one no one messes with, but can avoid easily enough. Reddit is the kid who stays with 4chan and sticks his head out from behind him like "Yeah! don't fuck with us!"

He's the asshole racist/misogynist/antisemite that everything thinks is just a major dickhead, but god forbid you fuck with him, because his schemes work 99% of the time, and he'll make you eat your fucking parents
The fact that GPS data is in some images sounds pretty creepy.
The fact that GPS data is in some images sounds pretty creepy.
He took the photo with an iPhone that had location services on. It was as simple as looking at that.
always strip exif data if you're going to post a picture of yourself doing something stupid
The fact that GPS data is in some images sounds pretty creepy.
You enable it in your camera/phone settings.
