God is a person who only exists in your head. God is the one you pray to get strength and power when you're in a bad situation. God exists in order to help you through even the toughest problems, because people do not think you can accomplish that yourself. Human beings believe that we can not survive without him, but amazingly enough, you does it. But the human mind is too weak to face it, humans must have someone to lean back on. That is where God comes into play. God IS a person's strength, and that "God" exists in your mind and soul. When we pray and hope it's not God who helps, it's you. You take in a religious way up your strength subconsciously

nothing
dog spelled backwards
hate?
I believe there is a God, it's not "a man living in the sky", obviously, it's a god, not a man.
God is all that's good in this world, and lives in the collective conciousness of all living things. Except maybe animals and plants, they're too dumb.
So god did not create us, and we did not create god. We always were together. You want evidence that god exists? fuck you theres your evidence. You need faith that god exists, which means faith that there is good out there, meaning you will become a good person, thereby making the world a slightly better place. All by putting your faith in something.
Life is subjective, what's green and shiny and wonderous to one person may be slimy dark and horrible to another. All depends on how you perceive it. This is why faith is so important. Having faith in a "man in the sky who watches what you do" makes no sense to me, but faith in the "collective good" makes more sense than anything.
Myself.

Albert Einstein put it's nicely.
"I'm not an atheist. I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. The problem involved is too vast for our limited minds. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God. We see the universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws but only dimly understand these laws."
To me god's just a word to describe things we do not understand
Apparently it's an acronym to mean
Great
Overwatching
Deity
I don't know. I just hope that there is something more, that the 70 or 80 years we spend on earth is not all there is.
nothing
The bible is just like those Indian Origin stories we dismiss as children's tales now.
Why are there rainbows, what's with the oceans, why are humans omnivores
nothing
Shit.

I don't believe in any gods, I'm doing fine.
A silly little bundle of lies.

I like how you're not giving us any evidence that any of the claims that you present have anything to do with reality. You're pulling it all out of your ass.

Like I said, you want evidence? well too bad you ain't getting it. I just explained what my belief of what god is, how is that pulling out of my ass?
And to clarify, Faith means believing in something despite probably overwhelming evidence against. Sometimes this isn't a bad thing...
I wonder why...

Pulled that bad boy right out your ass.
He's only pulling out what the Christians have of who made Earth
Morals, ethics, goodness...
And retards all over the world and all over history, who have been complete assholes over their so-called "god".
I BELIVE IN SCIENCE :science:
I don't get the point of these threads. Atheists just like to troll threads like this and anyone who believes in something. I would say what God means to me, but posting that on facepunch is just about as effective and slamming my face into a brick wall, pointless and painful
[editline]04:18PM[/editline]
Let me ask 3 questions.
1. Can you see your hands?
2. Can you see your monitor?
3. Can you see your brain?
Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's not there.
'God' isn't a very effective term because it means so many things to so many people.
The way most religion describes it - omniscient, omnipotent and omnibenevolent - it can't possibly exist.
I don't believe in deities.
I just don't think theism makes any sense.

Just a thought, would these "retards" still be assholes if they didn't do what they did in the name of "god"? I think the answer is yes. Assholes are assholes. Blaming god for their actions? What?
What about science? Global warming? Should we blame science for the millions of motor vehicles polluting large portions of the world? Or blame the assholes at Ford Motor Co.
Blame ourselves? Why bother when we can blame science or religion?
Technically, nothing.
It doesn't really matter what god means to anyone.
God is almighty so to speak, so we mortals don't have to right to decide which one of our many different gods is the right one.
We don't choose god.
A deity in another plane of existence.
ITT ignorant atheist bandwagoning kids not realising what religion is all about.

I don't believe in god, fyi. :p
