Aw yiss.
If it's made by Konami, it's a good Castlevania.
Though I would like more Metroidvania/RPG's like Portrait of Ruin, and less Animu style.

2D is the shit.
So this won't be an RPG like the Symphony of the Night style Castlevanias that have been the predominant type of Castlevanias for the last decade and a half :pwn:?
why Konami why
I wanna see a SOTN done on modern hardware in 2D that takes full use of the hardware.

It's an example of a game system that's been done so well that there isn't much that needs fixing; in the case of Metroidvania, the 2D platforming RPG genre, it seems like there's not a lot that's "broke". You know the phrase "if it ain't broke don't fix it"? Yeah. I just can't see too much wrong with the Metroidvania genre; in fact modern Castlevania games don't need to be like Lords of Shadow of the Colossus, they just need to be Metroidvania; hell the franchise is half of the name that coined that miraculous 2D RPG platforming formula.
If they release a new Metroidvania style Castlevania game with a decent enough PC port, I'd probably be all over it. So by all means make more Metroidvania games Konami, you've got an excellent formula; you don't need to sink millions of dollars into the God of War style of Castlevania to make a great Castlevania game.
every gameplay video I've seen looks really shitty

Problem thereof is the GoW style one was the best selling version of all time. Kinda hard to ignore.
