As the title suggests, post pics of the most beautiful places in your town. If there's nothing beautiful in your town, show us places you like in the nearest town. I'll start with the Parc de la Boverie, a park located on an artificial island, in the middle of the Meuse river in Liège : [t]https://bernardmeeus.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/meuseliegeavroy22.jpg[/t][t]http://i40.servimg.com/u/f40/16/60/30/65/img_6710.jpg[/t] [t]http://liege.prod.imio.be/fr/loisirs/culture/musees/la-boverie/parc-de-la-boverie/le-parc/photos/visuel-domaine-la-boverie-2.jpg/@@images/b5354a46-d5fe-4885-9191-7cf94e31b06b.jpeg[/t][t]http://64a66ea7ecc590e45f99-a7e383abe2ac7179d2850682a6a97a92.r10.cf1.rackcdn.com/_nqz200750124850arc_pht.jpg[/t] Then comes the place we call the Quais (Decks in english) : [t]http://www.locationetudiantliege.com/img/photos/liege10.jpg[/t][t]https://bernardmeeus.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/liegemeusevueavroy.jpg[/t] [t]http://acbobignytennisdetable.fr/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/liege.jpg[/t][t]http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/52903369.jpg[/t] Finally our most recognizable place in the city, the Guillemins train station (it also appears in Guardians of the Galaxy) : [t]http://tour2015.provincedeliege.be/sites/default/files/pictures/Li%C3%A8ge_Gare%20Guillemins_0838%C2%A9provincedeliege_servicecom.JPG[/t][t]http://www.raphaelsanchez.be/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/OM2A4899.jpg[/t] [t]http://static.skynetblogs.be/media/127560/4278432364.JPG[/t][t]http://www.aco-urbandesign.be/fileadmin/_processed_/csm_aco-gare_des_guillemins_luik_afvoergoten-5_59ec83e647.jpg[/t] I'll be posting pics of more places in the future as I don't want to fill the OP with dozens of pictures, there are so many green places here that it's impossible to imagine it was once the most industrialised city in the world. Your turn !
There's a car that's grown into moss in my town, I think it's beautiful.
[T]http://i.imgur.com/t8T59B0.jpg[/t] I really like the view from this bridge not far from our house.
I live in a shitty town that's ridden with gonorrhea and shootings, but the river walk is nice [t]http://mdcinc.org/sites/default/files/blog_files/Danville%20Walking%20Bridge_LARGE.jpg[/t] I think Ikea built their first american factory here or something [editline]13th May 2016[/editline] The river's always just this constant shade of poop brown though

Parque Fundidora A former foundry which was closed down and then turned into a green park. A few years ago there used to be a lot of shootouts and killings in there but things have been calm and safer recently.
The best part about Varde is the 10:1 scale of the town [t]http://www.bent-dalsten.dk/VardeEsbjerg/IMG_1407.JPG[/t]
Reminds me of a town that has a tiny replica of itself, and in that replica is a tiny replica of the tiny replica, and so on and so on.
[T]http://i2.wp.com/blog.exploregeorgia.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Christmas-Helen.jpg[/T] This is actually in the southern US. Take that for what you will.
Turku's fairly alright; riverside is particularly nice during summer but couldn't find a decent pic of it.
Ain't got a camera, but the most beatiful place in wonderful Ruds Vedby is this abandoned train yard where you can find great discount souvenirs, my dried old piss and empty beer cans, behind a stack of logs
Well, this isn't in my town, but it's quite close by:
That's like FF12 fucking Tomb of Raithwall
Here's Tustin CA, it's usually a pretty boring place but it's got some history and nice areas: I live a few blocks from old town, it looks like this: Here's Peter's Canyon Regional Park, it's close to the northern rich folk part of the city, if you ever get the chance to hike it do so, you can pay 2 bucks for parking at the front or go around to the back way and park for free: A couple of the hills are an absolute bitch to climb like this one which is waaayyy steeper than it looks: Crayfishies are in the creekbed here year round since it's fed by groundwater (I'm tempted to catch a few to put in an aquarium). There is also a riparian area that is blocked off during certain months: Lastly, here's the old ww2 MCAS Hangars, they are massive: Sadly they are supposed to be destroying one of them to make room for dumb ugly shitpartments. Fuck those cunts.
I suppose I'll share a few I just took. Unfortunately my hometown of Springfield Ain't much to look at as far as buildings go, but nature fills that gap well. The last two are actually from Heceta Beach, back in November.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/tw9rxmb.jpg[/t] That's about it
Here is a picture i once toke with my 200 euro smartphone camera of balloons and the church. Pretty much the most interesting thing that you can see here.
That's like FF12 fucking Tomb of Raithwall
fun fact: people used to take pot shots at that urn perched up on the top of the facade in the hope of breaking it to find a supposed treasure that was hidden there. IIRC, you can still see the damage if you look closely enough. Content: This is a waterfall at our local zoo. This is the headquarters for the city corporation, and is one of the finest neoclassical buildings the city has to offer.
Some views 10 mins away from where I live: And a little part of the inner city: I live maybe 40 minutes away from the city so I think there's a perfect mix of nature and town. The city is going to be rebuilt for the next 30 years, so we'll see what comes out of it.
The city itself is rather picturesque. AT&T (formerly Bellsouth) built a memorial to batman that is currently the tallest building in Tennessee. So that's something. [t]http://www.nashvilledowntownhostel.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/NDT.jpg[/t] The Tennessee State Penitentiary (Green Mile) is also technically in the city I guess. A skyline of Manchester with the Beetham Tower in the background (The tallest building in the UK outside London) Then there is Salford Quays And the same image that I vaporwaved
we have a mcdonald's

village itself looks like shit, plenty of lovely scenery around it though [t]http://i.imgur.com/UlxiwBi.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/kCp42sy.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/CWQfGdE.jpg[/t] and the village looks ok too sometimes i guess [t]http://i.imgur.com/ZJPdYtB.jpg[/t]
The St. Photios Greek Orthodox National Shrine in old St. Augustine, about a 35 minute drive from where I live. Whenever I visit the area I stop by to light a candle for my dad (passed away from Cancer 2 years ago). My mother's husband is Greek Orthodox and introduced me to it. It's a small shrine and museum with some beautiful iconography work. Just the local park. Photo unedited, taken a few weeks ago. [t]http://i.imgur.com/38ETwqy.jpg[/t] There's also a pretty big field outside of town, folks like to launch hot air balloons out of here. [t]http://i.imgur.com/JcO84g9.jpg[/t]
