Several buses sent to transport the sick and injured from two government-held villages in Syria's Idlib province have been burned by rebels.
It has thrown the latest efforts to evacuate besieged areas into doubt.
Pro-government forces say people must be allowed to leave the mainly Shia villages of Foah and Kefraya for the evacuation of east Aleppo to restart.
State media said convoys had begun to leave Aleppo on Sunday but other reports said they had turned back.
The initial plan to evacuate the last rebel-held enclaves in the city collapsed on Friday, leaving civilians stranded at various points along the route out without access to food or shelter.
Russia, which backs the government of President Bashar al-Assad, says it will veto a French-drafted resolution to send UN officials to monitor the evacuations in Aleppo. A vote is due at the UN Security Council on Sunday.
So, the government lets you evacuate under a system of simply disarming, and you repay the favor by burning busses meant to hold up your end of the deal.
Gotta love these moderate shitheads.
Say rebels aren't terrorists one more time
Oh look the 'moderates' went and did something extreme again...
It's sad how they leave out that they slaughtered a red crescent worker who was driving one bus. The rumor is that it was the remnants of Jund al-Aqsa because Sarmin was their old HQ. Jund al-Aqsa is a very very pro ISIS terrorist faction that JFS absorbed after their last spat with Ahar and other groups. They are so desperate they are trying to spark a fucking Sunni Shia war and turn northern Syria into a shithole like what happen to Iraq.

People who act like this do not deserve basic human rights.

The hell are you guys on about? The moderates are gone, they've been gone for a long time. I've heard there's still some in the SDF, but within Aleppo? No way.

Anytime there's news like this the same people sarcastically call them moderates even when the 'rebels' in the article are a fanatical extremist group. It's easier to ignore the fact that many rebels are civilian fighters and defectors from Assad's military and blanket label them all as terrorists.

the government was also randomly suspending the cease fire and shooting rebels
the government was also randomly suspending the cease fire and shooting rebels
Don't mean to be an asshole, but where is proof of that? What i've heard(no it wasnt from mainstream) was that the terrorists fired first and the evacuations had to be suspended because they were firing both at soldiers and civillians indiscriminately.
If someone is going to make judgments about 'rebels' they ought to at least understand that government opposition in syria is, without exaggerating, comprised of over 200 different factions, most of whose only positive connection to each other is a tactical need to fight together against a stronger enemy. Their commonality really ends there. "damn moderates at it again" which ones bro?

That's another problem, if Assad falls, everyone is going to want to take his place. The war would only get worse with dozens of extremist groups fighting for control. Syria would be a lost cause at that point. The SAA cannot fail.
what a fucking clusterfuck
Say rebels aren't terrorists one more time
Oh no dude according to people around here, the terrorists are good people and anyone who is actually from Syria doesn't know anything
Truth is, almost all sides in Syria are terrorists, some with the false legitimacy of being a government and having the support of Russia and others not.
Oh no dude according to people around here, the terrorists are good people and anyone who is actually from Syria doesn't know anything
Nice strawman. You just don't like it that nobody believes you when you say Assad did nothing wrong.
Nice strawman. You just don't like it that nobody believes you when you say Assad did nothing wrong.
And you guys don't like it when I say that we are with our government. Just do yourself a favor and stay out of our business.

I didn't say that, in fact I've said Assad is the only one that can hold Syria together. He's a murderous asshole, but he's still the only thing standing between Syria, and complete unending chaos.

The point is the 'moderates' fight alongside the none moderates and the resources our governments foolishly send them end up in the hands of groups like al nusra or Isis. If the 'moderate' rebels tolerate the views off those extremist groups then they aren't moderate anymore. I posted a video a whole back where rebels branded anyone none sunni as Iranian (ie blanket term for enemy) and they confronted civilians asking if they were Kurds. They're racist, religiously intolerant, Islamic extremists. If a different group can stand by their side and think 'this is ok' then they certainly aren't moderate.
Assad is fucking awful but the terrorists are worse. Best case scenario is gov to retake control and Assad to hand power over to someone less tainted then scuttle away to Russia.

And why would he do that?
"Oh hey guys I fought this long and hard war for half a decade now guess it's time to go cya!"
And why would he do that?

Because while he leads the country a good number of people won't side with the government and a good number of people won't feel safe going back to Syria. Assad has killed 10000s, he can't lead the country because many won't follow.
the syrian government are the only option for a stable solution but I don't think Assad is part of that solution. He's unlikely to face the consequences for his crimes against humanity so the next best thing is him dissapearing to somewhere in Russia.
Alternatives in my mind are:
Government falls - another decade of chaos and civil war
Gov stays and Assad stays - people don't go back to Syria and there more terrorism and brutality
Assad is the government at the moment but even a dictator has keys to power, people who make stuff happen and hold the loyalty of various other groups. The Alawaites have made statements distancing themselves from Assad so I think a Syrian gov without Assad is a possibility.

You used aljazeera as a source, so I won't even go through proving it wrong.

I'm not, about your second source, it's not as bad as Al-Jazeera, but you can easily tell it's not neutral.
Yes you are, read the Al Jazeera artile. It is not second source, it is the primary source for what it was in the article.
And how do you "easily" tell? I dont see it, mind showing us?
SOHR is pro-rebel sunni muslim living in the UK.

all I said is that al jazeera is a not a reliable source, it's a shame to be considered a media.

cba to go into details, but using that disgusting flag is a pretty good start

Do you do anything besides shitpost? Nobody said all the fighters in Aleppo are moderates. Your 'I'M FROM SYRIA I KNOW HOW IT IS' shtick is completely unnecessary.

Doesn't really matter what I or the other Syrian says, you guys always refuse to believe us and isntead believe shit news like CNN.
Oh look the 'moderates' went and did something extreme again...
Except they didn't?
Several reports from opposition sources said Jabhat Fatah al-Sham was responsible. But Hezbollah's al-Manar TV and Beirut-based pro-Syrian government al-Mayadin TV said clashes between jihadist Jabhat Fath al-Sham and the rebel Islamist Ahrar al-Sham had resulted in the blaze.

However, the Free Syrian Army, a more moderate rebel faction, condemned it as a "reckless act endangering the lives of nearly 50,000 people" in east Aleppo.

you guys always refuse to believe us
Probably because your only contribution to these threads is calling us brainwashed by Western media, denying externally verifiable claims at random, and making absolutely no effort to back up your own, hiding behind the excuse that you're getting all your 100% factual accurate information from secondhand anecdotes.
So yeah. As long as you continue to shitpost, it doesn't really matter what you say. Because it's shit. We might believe you over CNN if you gave us any reason to besides 'trust me guys I'm Syrian'.

Why does all the information I get have to be on a news station or website? Personally talking to friends and family no longer counts?
