There won't be much content in this thread, but I will talk about how much I love these fucking songs.
I noticed that they covered a lot of electronic type genres, hence Immersion.
The first track, Genesis, is more of an 8bit style, which I wasn't expecting from them.
I love the sound of Salt In the Wounds, but it's just too repetitive and doesn't cut it for me.
I think watercolor is meh. The reason behind that, is I'm not a fan of the singing. I don't mind singing in music, just not in this. It doesn't sound right when I listen to electronic genres.
Set Me On Fire is one of my favorite songs on this CD by far.
It has a very slight amount of electro from what my ears can tell, and some nice dubstep mixed into it, with a majority of Jungle DnB.
Now Crush, I'm not even sure what I would call it, but I am not a big fan of it. It has a lot of guitar and singing which isn't my thing.
Under The Waves. Ya I just skip it if the song comes up.
Now Immunize (feat Liam Howlett) is amazing. It's got Pendulum's style throughout the whole song, but it's got a nice mixture of The Prodigy's sound, and I just love it. There are some vocals in here, but they make it work, really well too.
The Island pt 1 (Dawn) and pt 2 (Dusk) are really good. I think they used the vocals correctly in Dawn, because it was a slow beat, with a nice kick to it. Once Duck starts playing right after, it's got a mean beat and sounds fantastic. I absolutely love Dusk more than anything on this CD, it sends chills down my spine every time I listen to it.
Comprachicos is definitely different from anything they have done in the past. It is very industrial sounding, almost like the worked with Marolyn Manson on it. It's a great track, and definitely one of my favorites.
The Vulture has a beat that makes you wanna dance. Every time it starts up I wanna get out of my chair and party. It's very well put together and a great sounding song through and through.
Witchcraft just doesn't do it for me.
Self Vs Self (feat In Flames) Just doesn't sound right. They tried to be hardcore about this, and it doesn't work.
The Fountain (feat Steve Wilson) is a very calming song, but keeps a nice pace as it goes along. I give it a 5/10.
Now Encoder is their finale, and their slowest song. It's peaceful sounding, but it is smooth. I don't really like this one, but I don't really like calm music in general.
Now Facepunch, I am only stating my opinion on these songs, if you don't agree, well I'm sorry. Everybody has the right to make whatever comments they would like on the CD.
All in all, I think they did a fantastic job, and I really enjoy it.
I hope everyone else does too.
I bet you just torrented it.
I bet you just torrented it.
No way.
I actually bought it.
I'm not gonna lie, I have torrented things before, but not this, I wanted the CD.
Genesis: 6.4/10, mainly because it's an intro.
Salt In the Wounds: 6.5/10, gets really repetitive after a while.
Watercolor: 7.4/10, The singing goes well with the song. Love it or not.
Set Me On Fire: 7.8/10, Kinda underground. Like it.
Crush: 7.2/10
Under The Waves: 7.5/10, slow start, gets better in the end.
Immunize (feat Liam Howlett): 8.0/10, definitely hearing the Prodigy in here, and that's a good thing.
Dawn (pt I): 7.0/10, catchy beat, but that's about it.
Dusk (pt II): 7.6/10, heavy mix of Dawn, experimental, and liked it.
Comprachicos: 7.5/10, some parts are excellent, other are meh.
The Vulture: 7.3/10
Witchcraft: 7.0/10, it's a bit of getting used to really, but not a bad song. Singing isn't really fit for this song.
Self VS Self: 5.0/10, not really DnB, you hear the drums, but it's more of a hard-rock song. And I didn't quite liked it.
The Fountain: 7.0/10, kind of liquid DnB, soothing.
Encoder: 6.2/10, not really special. Has to be your taste.
Verdict: It's a fine album, way better than In Silco. A must have for any Pendulum fan, and is also a good start for DnB rookies. The number of songs makes it more attractive. +0.2
7.2/10
(All of these are imo. Take these with a grain of salt, and don't let some numbers influence yourself about this album. If you liked the samples, you'll like the album)
I'm listening to it right now :buddy:

For me more like an 8.7/10. I thought it was good. Not the same as Hold Your Color but it was different. I think both are equally good, just different.

Wanted to post the same thing.
Just fucking rate it 9/10,8/10 without that 8.7645 bullshit.
Listening atm, I loved their last two records but so far this is pretty crap tbh..
Personally I love the album.
My favorite songs are Watercolour and The Island part II
I must say I don't like the album. Maybe it's because I've moved onto more interesting artists than pendulum.
and whom might those artists be?
My suggestion
other than Autechre :v:
They're more interesting in my oppinon, but they are as following:
Netsky, Grafix, Noisia, MRSA, DC Breaks & so on.
Gotta check out Netsky, been hearing a lot good about them. Noisia are fucking awesome, love their album Split the Atom.

Netsky's new stuff is boring.
Really depends on your taste, I like to chill sometimes.
I bought the Vinyl version, it should arrive this afternoon.
I love everyone of the songs, definitely my favorite album, lots of HYC style stuff.
Netsky's new stuff is boring.
Yeah I wasn't too impressed with the album. It had some nice songs though. What Netsky stuff is the best?
The Vulture is my new favourite song.
It's just fucking awesome.

Makes me think of getting the upper hand in a battle or something.
