I called my home phone to find out my mobile phone number, and as expected the number showed up on the little screen so I hung up. But then the home phone started ringing again, with my number on the screen. I looked at my mobile to see if I had accidently made the call again, I hadn't, I pressed the red button on both devices to try and hang it up, it didn't work. So, I pressed the green button on the home phone to answer the call, I also put my mobile up to my ear to see if it was my mobile calling the home phone, I said hello and a few seconds later I heard 'hello' back. I thought it was just a huge delay so to make sure I said hello again, but this time I heard the voice say 'Can I help you?' and they hung up. I 'nope.avi'd', put phone back on the dock and ran to my room. What made it even more creepy was that it is midnight and I am home alone. Any ideas what the hell was going on?
its actually me
Can your phone contact people from alternate dimensions?

Maybe.
7 Days
I think this is one of those rare occurrences where you can ask, "Who was phone?"
Try and recreate the event.
But do one more thing- Lock the doors and get the gun.
Answer that motherfucker like a man.
Post results.
It could have been that someone called, and the phone messed up and displayed the number that called before on the Caller ID rather than the number calling now, but it'd be odd that someone would call you and ask "how may I help you?". As if you called someone.
Perhaps your landline flashed someone on a three way call while they were dialing in, your landline goofed and displayed the most recent number.
The first few times could be someone scoping out your house to be robbed, checking if anyone is awake. This actually happened to me once, someone parked out in front of our house, called to see if anyone was there, and i saw their car, they sped off after i answered.
I'm pretty sure this is a creepypasta.

Who calls their home phone to find out their own phone number, anyway? You can normally find you own number by going through the phone's settings.

Guns don't work if you not up against a man at all, but an undead!
