Formed in 2007, the band is composed of band members Sam Halliday, Alex Trimble and Kevin Baird. They are signed to French record label Kitsuné Music, through which they released their debut album, Tourist History, on 1 March 2010. It won the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year 2010 the following year.
Anyone else a fan of these guys? I missed Tourist History when it first came out but I've been hammering it on my iPod the last few weeks. Awesome album. Here's some great TDCC tunes... My friend introduced me to them a while back. :D I love dancing with Something Good Can Work, Come Back Home, and Eat That Up, It's Good For You.
Fuck yes, I was gonna make a thread on here but you beat me to it. These guys are amazing and I'm glad they became more popular, let's just hope they don't sell out. I also own every single track of theirs (unreleased ones) I've been learning the guitar to quite a few of their songs aka: This is the life, something good can work and undercover martyn.
Eat it up, It's good for you I love Two Door Cinema Club. I own their album and that song has been stuck in my head on loop for a good month and a half now. I can already play a few of their songs of the guitar.

best band ever! saw them a few months ago with Tokyo Police Club. They co-headlined the shop and it was awesome. Both of their stuff sounds great together. My favourite song by them is easily Eat That Up, It's Good For You.
Amazing band.
They need to come to Vegas.
I go through fazes with them. Some days I think they're great, and some I don't. Saw them at reading festival, they came on after 2 slow bands, it was mental. Seriously amazing fun.
I learned about these guys from Tap Tap Revolution on my iPhone. Needless to say, I stared at Alex for a good 10 minutes wondering if he was coppercab.
Cookie cutter hipster indie. Not too fond of these guys.
Cookie cutter hipster indie. Not too fond of these guys.
I don't really like their image, but their songs are awesome IMO.
They're p good but they have a ginger in the band!!1 Also what's with everyone's obsession to say "oh I listened to such and such band before they got big" you fucking hipsters
I don't really like their image, but their songs are awesome IMO.
I was referring to their music as well. But if you like them go ahead, being a partypooper isn't my intention :)
I heard them on the radio a few days back, really like them.
these guys make such fun music
I don't really like their image, but their songs are awesome IMO.
that doesn't make much sense honestly
that doesn't make much sense honestly
They look like pretentious hipsters and I don't like that, but they write good songs. What's not to get?
They look like pretentious hipsters and I don't like that, but they write good songs. What's not to get?
Well I mean...music isn't about the image, it's about the music right?, you clearly stated that you like the songs, but for some reason have something against the band because of the way they look? It just seems unfair to the band to be judged for more than their music even when they had no bad actions. Also that's just my opinion on music, I'm not holding anything at all against you, if anything I'm just trying to understand. Everyone is different and likes different music. oh yeah a side note, I have no idea what a 'hipster' is.
Just come across these yesterday while high, really like it.
There is a HUGE difference between "Hipster" and "Indie" that the internet just does not get.
Just found these guys, they're awesome.
Amazing band. I'm going to see them in Seattle in two weeks.
