Still developing. I've provided a partial translation from the Finnish article.
Wreckseekers say that they have found a sunken submarine near the Swedish coast roughly off of the center line of the country. The Ocean X team will not reveal the exact location of the submarine, but says that it has sunk roughly three kilometers off of the beach.
- We are completely sure the submarine is in Swedish territorial waters, says Ocean X team member Dennis Åsberg.
Ocean X found the wreck last week after receiving a tip off by an Icelandic company, according to Expressen.
- We began searching from the area that was indicated and we found the submarine quite quickly. The hull appears to be undamaged, apart from some minor bumps, Ocean X member Peter Lindberg says.
According to Ocean X the submarine is 20 meters long, and three meters wide. The doors and escape hatches appear to be sealed.
- This almost certainly means that the crew is still inside, Dennis Åsberg says.
Couple of more interesting details from the article:
- The Swedish defense forces confirm that they have been made aware of the location of the wreck and are going to proceed with an investigation.
- The Ocean X team says that the tower of the submarine appears to have cyrillic letters.
- There was no distress call, and the submarine is in great condition, described as practically untouched. It has not been at the bottom of the ocean for very long.
- Sweden confirms that none of its submarines are missing.
Here's a picture of the hull from the Expressen website.

UPDATE:
Here is the press release from Ocean-X.
Ocean-X press release.
According to a defense ministry source that spoke to SR it has cyrillic letters on the hull
Dem pesky Russians poking around the coast again ?
Also, found a press release from the company that found it, seen here
Now...if Russia or the USSR lost a submarine would they bother to tell us...I mean we did help them on the kursk but this is bizzar, I hope it just turns out to be a ww2 thing but that's creepy
Anyway, going to be interesting to see what the military says once they have had a look

Creepy as fuck if they have a stream of that sub and then it just comes alive,
Eh nightmares

A ww2/cold war sub just chilling on the sea floor, abandoned but ready to go at a moment's notice.
Yeah, that's creepy as fuck. A lot of military shit russia/the ussr did is creepy as fuck.
I wonder how old it is, it's creepy knowing that there's dead bodies inside, and horrifying to think what their final moments were like in there...

the article seems to be implying that it has very recently sunk

If it's really old and the pressure vessel was compromised, there's probably no trace of any bodies. The ocean reclaims them entirely. Bone and all. All you would find are boots and jewelry and maybe cloth.
is it implied that it's related to that incident not long ago?
the one where the swedish coast guard went on a goose chase looking for a mini sub or something?
Goddamn this is some interesting stuff. Wondering what details will submerge later :v: Will be interesting to see Russia's reaction to his.

That's a really small submarine. Should narrow it down quite fast.
20m x 3m is really small. Maybe it's a scouting/exploration sub?
Hopefully all of the crew got out safely somehow before it sunk.
Hopefully all of the crew got out safely somehow before it sunk.
I think that the crew is still inside and that thing is live, if it's been "recently sunk" and the doors are all still sealed then maybe that thing was trying to hide, or perhaps something happened inside resulting to the death of the crew without anythinf to do with sinking?
This thing is really small, yet larger than the usual research or civilian vessel. I don't know what it might be.

they noted all the hatches were sealed, so I'm not too sure about that possibility. if it was such a small sub the best we can hope is it had a very small crew. Not sure if it'd be better or worse if it turns out to be an unmanned drone sub, never heard of such a thing but in today's military advancements I wouldn't be surprised
Being trapped in a submarine on the bottom of the sea floor with no chance of resurfacing is an absolutely terrifying thought

Drone subs sound both really cool and rather disturbing. And like something you'd see in a modern-day RTS with naval units.
This could turn out to be very interesting if true. Going off the dimensions it doesn't really seem like a military craft, though.
That dome on what looks to be the conning tower is very unique. Surely someone can ID it off that alone. Most military subs these days are smooth and black and large.

the possibility that it might be some russian experimental drone sub seems to be rising

There are several different types of very small submarines used for military purposes.

Does anyone know what this says/might mean?

Some speculations have come forth saying it might be the Russian "Catfish" submarine that sank back in 1916.
Pics of it match the description alright.

Looks kinda like a part of a number or a letter 'Ъ', which by itself means nothing, it's a utility orthographic device that is only used in conjunction with previous consonant. The best part is that it appears to be at the end of some sequence of letters (because I'm not sure if it's a word), but it's definitely isn't used in any kind of serial numbers or stuff like that... and if it's at the end of the word, it means it's either some private vessel or really old, the "hard sign" Ъ hasn't been used as an actual letter for almost a hundred years. And it sure doesn't look that old. So yay, it's time machine from 1915.
How long would a submarine last underwater, provided is it was corrosion resistant and impermeable to water?

It kinda does look like the Som Class submarine, most of which were scuttled in Tallinn, (then Reval). Did they say exactly where they found this sub, or are they still saying just in swedish territorial waters?
If it's the catfish we're talking a submarine predating WW1, this shit's a really cool find.

Definitely not designed for oceanic travel, this guy was meant to stay in the Baltic.

The plot thickens. Time to look up old really old Russian subs. It could be a Som like mentioned.
