Awesome, this is exactly the game I was thinking of a couple of weeks ago. I've always wondered why there isn't just a survival game which is based on surviving the environment and the wildlife rather than installing some shitty gimmick like zombies or monsters.

Those are two i can think of right now.
I love everything about this. It looks wonderful and happy.
It looks awesome, about my only critique would be that the snow cover doesn't evolve in a naturalistic fashion. It should start gathering in low points of the ground and beneath trees and then spread out from there. It still wouldn't be a perfect simulation of how snow cover accumulates, but it would be more realistic than the blanket advancing across the ground as it is.
Diogo has written a new version of the terrain shader that I had been prototyping, and some great extension scripts to help manage how everything fits together. It’s still a little rough around the edges, but this all means that can I achieve the style I want and still make use of Unity’s native terrain features. We still have a few issues to solve in this area, but we’re nearly there.
I'm sure they'll improve upon it.
This one's gonna be an instant buy for me
Just shut up and take my money
I need this
So, you're abandoning Rust for another survival game?
Stop the presses!

In a serious note though, the idea looks fantastic. Rust never really interested me, but if Before takes off; I might want to grab it.
