Okay, well i bought Battlefield Bad Company 2 a couple of days ago I have a Dual Core E6850 Processor at 3.1Ghz per core and a 896MB 275 GTX From EVGA with everything on high (Even with AA at 8) and getting 34 FPS. I think my computer is going to blow up when i notices that i'm using only a Dual Core Processor and 4gb memory. On vista.
I can run it on all high with my 8800GT and 5400+ 2.8 GHz dual core Athlon, although in DX9 mode, but I can also run it pretty well in DX10. You should be able to run it very well
Well BF BC2 is very cpu dependent (Stupid consoles), so I say its your processor holding you back. I mean I have a Radeon 4870 with a Phenom 2 x4 945 and I get higher FPS then that.
BC2 runs well on most pcs. My 275s handled it well , and my 470 can do 32x aa with it with decent fps a faster cpu, like an e8400 or Q9550/Q9400 is good enough
