"Prison is too good for child rapists and their ilk. I would move to say that our 'justice system' is even a part of the problem, in that incarceration is hardly justice when it comes to such an awful act," wrote J.R., who created the petition Tuesday. "Let us hang these creatures publicly. Let us make examples of them, and allow the American people to attend these hangings so that the accused may be ridiculed." As of Friday morning, more than 51,000 people signed the petition on the White House's "We the People" site to publicly hang Taylor. It needs to reach 100,000 signatures by Nov. 4 in order to receive an official response from the White House, according to the website. West Virginia abolished capital punishment decades ago, though another case spurred one state lawmaker to promise that he would introduce legislation to bring the death penalty back to the state in the next legislative session, West Virginia Metro News reported.
I'm totally on board. Fuck this fuckhead.
And now, we wait for SIRIUS to give us all a "lessons in humanity" and why hanging this piece of shit is wrong, when he can be rehabilitated. :^)
The revenge bullshit isn't gonna get you anywhere. Petition has been closed
Well of course he can't be rehabilitated when there's no good system in place for doing so.
This guy raped and murdered a toddler. Personally I think he's too far gone.
And now, we wait for SIRIUS to give us all a "lessons in humanity" and why hanging this piece of shit is wrong, when he can be rehabilitated. :^)
By all means I don't give a shit about what happens to this guy, but there are too many issues with capital punishment and they have nothing to do with of the crimes or their ugliness.
Really, it's cases like this where even some of the biggest opposers of the death penalty agree that people like this just shouldn't live. I'm on the fence here myself.
I am completely glad none of you people are in any sort of position to choose if people live or die.
This guy raped and murdered a toddler. Personally I think he's too far gone.
Okay so lock him up for life then either way - society is rid of a murderer, law is upheld despite emotional factors involved, life goes on.
Isn't there a thing on the Bill of Rights talking about something to the effect of cruel and unusual punishment? I'm fundamentally opposed to the death penalty but if you're gonna do it at least give him a lethal injection or something. Don't do this barbaric bullshit, I don't care how much he """""deserves it."""""
Accused.
I mean, if you're going to be barbaric about it, go for a public stoning and go all the way with it.
Public hanging? What year is it again?
This guy raped and murdered a toddler. Personally I think he's too far gone.
I'm not really sure what makes you think that. Maybe you're right, but what's your justification for believing in that? One thing's for sure, I wish I could peer into the mind of this person and see what he actually is thinking.
Okay so lock him up for life then either way - society is rid of a murderer, law is upheld despite emotional factors involved, life goes on.
Not really. Then it's another mouth to feed with tax money for the rest of his life
I'm fundamentally opposed to the death penalty but if you're gonna do it at least give him a lethal injection or something. Don't do this barbaric bullshit, I don't care how much he """""deserves it."""""
Lethal injection is more barbaric than hanging.
I mean, if you're going to be barbaric about it, go for a public stoning and go all the way with it.
No no no, if you're gonna be barbaric what you really gotta do is crucify him. None of that Jesus shit either with a spear or nothing, you let him die over a period of days and leave his carcass on the side on I 70.
Lethal injection is more barbaric than hanging.
Hardly, these people want him publicly lynched. Some of the people literally want to make a public example out of him.
Firstly, let's agree that none of us here is a psychiatrist or criminologist to aptly determine just how fucked in the head this cunt is. With that out of the way, just consider for a moment the prospect of having this person locked up for the rest of his life. Considering how heinous his crime was, why is he worthy enough to keep him away for good, when he absolutely destroyed another human being's life? Why isn't the life of his victim, and the way she died, considered the utmost important aspect of this crime? That's my problem with keeping this cunt alive. And no, I'm not pro-death penalty -as crazy as it may sound-, but sometimes, just sometimes, it's not outlandish to admit that some humans can be fucked in the head beyond repair, and are a complete waste of space.
Not really. Then it's another mouth to feed with tax money for the rest of his life
I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure putting him on death row is more expensive than giving him life in prison.
Lethal injection is more barbaric than hanging.
I feel like painlessly putting someone to sleep is far less barbaric than a public hanging that snaps their neck that may or may not kill them instantly or painlessly.
killing is barbaric period
Big words, you may not understand the reach of what you're saying.
public hanging? i thought that was only reserved for black people in the 1950s, people have to remember that america has come a long way since then and you cant go back to that
what would anyone gain about this besides a bunch of nutjobs getting to fulfill their creepy bloodlust
Lethal injection is more barbaric than hanging.
Sure is. Now that they banned the drugs that actually fucking work you end up with exotic expensive concoctions that don't work half the time and leave the guy squirming around for minutes before he eventually dies. I'm not for the death penalty but if you are going to do it just go with a firing squad for christ sake, it's cheap, effective, and doesn't cause undue suffering for the accused.
public hanging? i thought that was only reserved for black people in the 1950s, people have to remember that america has come a long way since then and you cant go back to that
BLM wants the US to go back to the '50s, when blacks and whites were treated in different spaces. USA is going through a massive cultural regression, IMO.
And now, we wait for SIRIUS to give us all a "lessons in humanity" and why hanging this piece of shit is wrong, when he can be rehabilitated. :^)
Why would i do that? Vigilante justice is great! :downs:
Why would i do that? Vigilante justice is great! :downs:
Nice to see we've finally reached an understanding. :^)
what does that have to do with anything in regards to the article and your opinions on why this is justified
Because only back then, a hanging would make sense. That's what I meant.
Alright! Huntington's in the news again! Say, what was the last thing we made the news for? Ah hell. Oh well, at least I can return home to Parkersburg, which is completely unstained by mainstream news exposé- DAMMIT
