I'm torn.
It's a Walking Dead game, but it's being published by Activision.
Fuck.
Activision.
Hmm, guess i'll wait untill there is more infomation before saying anything else.
Going to have to wait on this. I felt badly about a walking dead game being made by Telltale due to the mess that was Jurassic Park, yet Telltale have given me GOTY in my opinion. Activision could prove me wrong here too.

Just be glad it isn't EA.
"UAV available!"
At least the voice acting should be decent, even if the game isn't.
While Telltale's heart-wrenching adventure series The Walking Dead is based squarely on being good, the upcoming shooter from Activision (subtitled Survival Instinct) is based on cashing in as much off the craze as possible.
rather than his somewhat dumb, extremely racist brother.
He's extremely racist, but he sure-as-shit ain't dumb.
This game was sadistic every step of the way. I hope Activision doesn't ruin that.
Well, if Activision's developing it, at the very least, it might have a smooth control system. On the other hand, it's focusing less on characters and more on zombie-killing.
This is a tricky one.

That can be debated.
So it says you play as Daryl with Merle as your wingman. Damn that's neat.
I really hope Daryl will be a complete badass with this

Oh, it's made by the devs that made Kinect Star Wars and is a first person game. Ah well.

Just play the telltale one and be ready for tears.

Ending of the first one was so sad. [sp]I had to have Lee put down though, can't have him as a zombie, he's too cool[/sp]
It's being made by Terminal Reality, which have made some pretty cool stuff in the past, so it could be alright.

Sam and Max isn't a let down, and I think they did TWD pretty much right.
Oh boy, terrible cash-in incoming.
Already have the fanfuckingtastic Telltale game, don't need any other TWD games.
Much less an FPS.
A camp management/survival RPG would be better suited to it if we were to get another TWD game.
You guys have seen literally 0 game footage (unless I'm mistaken, and haven't found it myself) and you're already calling it a cash-in.

It's a first-person shooter with zombies published by Activision. I don't think it's possible to get any more generic than that.
It's a first-person shooter with the walking dead storyline/influence. The Walking Dead (at least the comics) are anything but generic imo. I'm not extremely optimistic this game is going to be anything but a cash-in, but at least wait for some game footage before you instantly label it as horrible and a cash-in.

I hope it's more than just a cash-in, but I've been bitten one too many times in the past to truly expect anything more.
exactly how many times has activision published a game based on a tv series/comic series.
also very clever you sly dog
I thought film actors tended to have more trouble with voice acting?
I thought film actors tended to have more trouble with voice acting?
The person who plays Merle voices a character in Black Ops 2 so he'll have some experience.
I thought film actors tended to have more trouble with voice acting?
Not really, animated films are essentially the same as a video game for the actors (not counting Mo-Cap).
Until i see gameplay I'll reserve my judgment, i'm not too optimistic right now though.

Unintentional pun?

Not only that, but there are lots actors who specialize in just voice acting that could do the job better and probably a hell of a lot cheaper.
Take the guy who voiced the narrator in Bastion for example. Nobody knew who he was but he did some of the best voice acting I've heard in quite a while.

Yeah, but if it's supposed to be based on the TV show, having the actual actors from the show voice the actors they played in the show seems to kinda make a little more sense.
