Yeah it's a pretty neat roguelite, though it could still use a bit more content. Sure it has the four vanilla stages (fourth being accessed at "endgame" when you have all three main Souls), along with the feature-length Mountains of Madness campaign (quite the crawl with a manic dash after you reach the very bottom of the dungeon) and the Asylum time trial, but it leaves me wishing there was more to do in-game, plus co-op would probably be a nice touch.
Hell, a Shub-Niggurath campaign or a Dreamlands adventure would be kind of a no-brainer for dedicated Lovecraft fans. Hell, even giving it mod support would vastly increase the play value with custom adventures, really would get me back into the game.
Also apparently there was a Halloween update that added a Halloween-themed area (entrance is in southwest corner of the library), though I didn't hear about it until today. Guess I'll boot it up and check out what that part's all about.
Alright I'm back after a quick recon. It's basically sort of an orangey "Dark Room" a'la the secret locations where you get the sacred items required for the good endings, but filled with pumpkin-headed cultists and a great deal of loot. Next time you resurrect in the Library, head to the bar and interact with the pumpkin on the table to access the Halloween zone.
