Wow that game looks interesting. For some reason it reminds me a bit of Bioshock, and a load of things I have read, including as the article states, 1984.
I hope it's going to be good.
The concept's closer to Brave New World or even Equilibrium than to 1984, still very much it's own thing and very interesting.
The visuals aren't as good as they could be, but that's a terrible thing to complain about, it looks great.
I personally think the artstyle gives it charm, although I fear it might take away from the creepy-ness if not done properly.
Still, super interesting. I hope this scratches the itch that I wanted Bioshock Infinite to be, before it ditched the horror elements.

I'll definitely be keeping my ear to the ground for this one. Love the British 60's aesthetic.
Yeah, first thing I thought of was Bioshock: Infinite.
And my issues weren't with the theme of that game, just in other places. So if this is done right, fuck yeah, I'm all for it..
IMO the 60s and 70s desing/aesthetics are underused in game design.
The Ship anyone? looks similar.
Interested.

First thought was "Bioshock lives again". Looks great.
Well, presumably this will involve first-person melee combat of some description. After all, why have the character pick up a cricket bat if he isn't going to use it?
Also I do like the aesthetic, and the chipper music makes it look like it's going to be a lovely day full of sunshine, pleasant conversation and high brow snooker-cues to the bollocks. It'd be like "Ah hello old chap!" *BONK* "Jolly good show!" *passes out*.

Maybe to show that even if you pick up a weapon you're fucked.

what the FUCK are you talking about?
The Ship anyone? looks similar.
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought so. For a second I thought it was being developed by the same people.

That's ironman for you.

The website says we'll hear more come this Friday.
Also even if this game is just Bioshock with interesting twists, or not, I'm very much going to watch this game.
[editline]1st March 2015[/editline]
Also I just found out these were the same guys that made Contrast.
because a bioshock infinite rip off is just what we needed. jeez, you'd think that this retro aethetic would have died by now.

It's kinda weird because they're trying to go for 60's with the music, talkshow host thing, and the retro-futuristic TV thing, but I don't think the architecture really fits. It looks more like Fable or something.
If they made it closer to what 60's Britain actually looked like, and then had all the Stepford Wives shit going on, it could be seriously creepy.
