In less than a year the video games industry has managed to make the label "Battle Royale" actually turn me away from being interested in this, bravo!

That's bound to happen with anything that gains massive popularity.

Well, shame on you. It's a great game and plays absolutely nothing like its """competitors""".

That's because you're a videogame hipster that judges something based on how popular it has become.
This is actually really good and refreshing.
Only 10 players per match and the matches are over in 10-15 minutes so you even if you lose at the end you didn't waste an hour.
World War 2, Modern Shooters, Zombies, Battle Royal. I wonder what the next big thing is going to be
Isn't this the game that had a baffling 'live' commentary at E3 last year?

Personally hoping for vehicle combat. I mean, it's been a long time since Blur and multiplayer racing is pretty much unintentionally vehicular combat thanks to trolls, might as well strap on some guns and get to it. :v:
I'm intrested in it for this alone

Three battle royale games exist and people call it a massive fad now?
[editline]11th March 2018[/editline]
I get that both mainline battle royale games are hilariously successful but come on. One extra BR game drops and now "literally everyone" is making one?
At this point developers are going to have to bring more to the table than a $15 Early-Access to compete with Fortnite's performance, netcode, and severe lack of price tag.
Free Open-Beta would have been a start.
whats with everyone shitting on this game in this thread?
its a totally different game and i wouldn't call it a battle royale. its a survival game for sure but this one can be fun as fuck.
i say can be because it all depends on whether the director is good. if the director doesn't even have a mic, you're wasting time playing because it's going to be boring as fuck, but having a director that knows what they are doing can make the games really fun to play.

and the game is only $15, well worth it.
That's bound to happen with anything that gains massive popularity.
It's just an over saturation of them in a short space of time that causes people to dislike them, like people jumping on the fad of Battle Royale and just getting a constant stream of them.
It's worse if you follow the Indie Market since basically fucking anyone can shit one out, which is exactly what's fucking happening right now.

There is plenty more than 3. Not to mention games with Battle Royale game modes put in afterwards.

There WAS one and there were threads here on it multiple times and I bumped the threads and everyone who participated in them has the game for free AAAAAAAAAAA
