• Why do society keep insisting on censoring the word FUCK?

The word Fuck is a profanity that most parents don't want their children to hear or even utter. But as children grow older, they eventually say it out loud anyways. The F-word should have been common word by now. Every adults say it once in a while and to a limited extend, some kids. So why do people bother to censor the word fuck if kids eventually going to learn it anyways? Kids will know fuck means to have sex or a slang to insult someone. But the word Sex and intercourse isn't censored and they can say it out loud on TV and Newspaper. Other profanities such as, slut, shit, ass, bitch and bastard are rarely censored in the media but the word fuck is completely removed. Strangely mild words such as damn and hell still get censored once in a while. If the word Fuck keeps getting censored, then why in the world did people invent that word in the first place? I know you would rather listen to someone saying Forget you! rather than Fuck You! but censoring fuck is limiting artistic and poetic freedom. And I find it ironic that Bad Company 2 censored the word fuck when the game itself is rated M. Times has change. It's time for the world to uncensored the word FUCK in every media. Cartoons, TV shows, Movies, books, magazines, comics whatever not on the internet. Or would you rather end up like that kid who started no Cussing club?
Because to fuck is to have sex and anything sexual is the devil's work for most of the modern world.
It is childish, at best, to censor the word fuck, or any other word. The word itself doesn't mean anything, the meaning we put into it does. I can say "fuck" when I stub my toe without it being directed at anyone, and it would still be censored, while you can call someone an idiot and it would mean much more. It's the insane puritanism of American culture that has made us afraid of a word.

This is one of the things I like to rant about. There's no point in censoring any word as they can mean something completely different based on the context in which it's used it. There's also no point in adults "protecting" their children from these words because by the time they're in middle school those words will be placed in every sentence they say, every fifth word. Delaying the inevitable is stupid. What's even more stupid is when I was in school people would fall into a state of shock whenever someone said bullshit or something, yet no one even notices when someone says bullcrap. They mean the exact same thing and are synonymous even when broken down.
dont know about you but i dont want my children going around swearing everywhere, this is as bad as the santa thread fp would make shit parents
dont know about you but i dont want my children going around swearing everywhere, this is as bad as the santa thread fp would make shit parents
Chances are they're going to say it when they get older, what difference does it make what age they start at?
People think it's rude.
Chances are they're going to say it when they get older, what difference does it make what age they start at?
it's inevitable theyll also drink so fuck the milk i'll just give them some jack daniels
Because that's the way the cookie crumbles.
Fuck if I know.
I just say their face is as foul as that of a drowned goat. No need to use fuck.
it's inevitable theyll also drink so fuck the milk i'll just give them some jack daniels
That can physically affect them. Fuck is just a sound.
Then again, if fuck was a commonplace word, I would never be able to get a Rory for the most gratuitous use of the word fuck in a serious screenplay
That can physically affect them. Fuck is just a sound.
principle is the same, hearing any kind of swear word from a child just ain't right it being a stress reliever and everything. if your children are swearing you're a bad parent.
Chances are they're going to say it when they get older, what difference does it make what age they start at?
because if your kid goes around school saying fuck it's likely teachers are going to find this alarming and do something about it. I mean if everybody stopped thinking that the word fuck is offensive then I would have no problem with this.
