• New speaker system?

Does anyone know any good speaker systems? My speakers that came with my computer just broke and I'm looking to replace them with some new ones. I don't know much about speakers but I've been searching around and I've heard some good things about Logitech .I have about 140$ that I can spend. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has any good suggestions please let me know. And sorry if this is in the wrong forum, wasn't really sure where I should post this. Also, if you know any good headsets let me know. My current ones seem to be breaking. The right headphone isn't working properly.
I highly suggest you buy headphones instead as you can get much higher sound quality for less money, but I will be searching anyways, if not. Do you want 5.1 or just 2.1? Again, less speakers = higher sound quality due to more cost going to each speaker.
Hmm, less speakers that are better quality would be nice.
http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-ProMedia-Certified-Computer-Speaker/dp/B000062VUO/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1300574961&sr=1-8 look like the best at $150, I'm not very experienced with speaker systems but Klipsch is a good choice.
From the reviews they look really good. I appreciate the help! If anyone else has any suggestions please let me know.
Correct me if i'm wrong but I thought av30's were one of the best near that price range.
Yeah, that and the promedia are pretty much tied - I'd get the Klipsch though becauise of the dedicated sub-woofer and actual speaker cabling.
Altec Lansing makes some pretty good computer speakers. Like, they have one that is 2.2 (Two Speakers, Two Subwoofers) The 2.2 Set: http://www.alteclansing.com/ae/us/computer-speakers/expressionist+0153-bass-fx3022/invt/fx3022/&bklist=icat,3,shop,computerspeakers One that I've heard is good: http://www.alteclansing.com/ae/us/computer-speakers/octane-7-vs4621/invt/vs4621/&bklist=icat,3,shop,computerspeakers One that I have: http://www.alteclansing.com/ae/us/computer-speakers/vs2521/invt/vs2521/&bklist=icat,3,shop,computerspeakers
I have amazing speakers. They are called "game speakers" found them in a thrift store 2 years ago. Amazing bass and awesome treble. I want another one for my tv. :smith:
I went to Big Lots yesterday with my family, was looking through the returns area and found these. By god they are amazing. Much better than my last set by Altec Lansing. The bass is so much crisper and it actually rumbles. The subwoofer feels heaver(by quite a few pounds) and with it sitting on my desk it can rumble my floor enough people across the room can feel it. An Amazing 2.1 system for an EXTREMELY cheap price. Those are the speakers I bought yesterday. You'd be better off just getting a new pair of headphones. I recommend Audio-Technica's ATH-M50s. Should be able to get them for around $120 USD. Else I recommend looking here: http://www.head-fi.org/products/category/computer-speakers They'll be more knowledgeable than most users on facepunch, look through some reviews.
