Basically everything in my house was dropping from the internet and I was going insane because I was like: "WTF is causing this". I went down stairs and felt my router and it was boiling. I was like SHITITITI! and moved it. Did nothing so I rang BT basically told them to STFU with there "Is your BT Homehub light on" questions because they are useless and I don't even use a homehub. They confirmed there was an issue on the line and that they would work on it and ring me at 7PM. I thought: Shit dodgy internet untill 7? No thanks and decided to try a feature on my router. It supports the use of a USB Modem so I figured, Android would work for this.I was rather happyI'd recommend the RT-N56U to anyone as a router. It's really good. If you do get it I would install this custom firmware though as it enhances the router by alothttp://code.google.com/p/rt-n56u
Yep. I love my RT-56U the moment I got it. Though I had no idea custom firmware existed.
I miss the RT-N66U that we have at my mom's. The range was great, even with my phone, which drops the signal from my dad's motorola modem/router in my bedroom across the hall (Despite my laptop having 5 bars in the same room). The web interface is great, the wireless is really fast and it seems pretty solid.
Asus makes some good routers.
This feature is part of the reason I bought my Cisco SRP541W, it has two gigabit WAN ethernet ports, and two USB Ports for 3G modems. It's a good thing to have when virgin media are doing their thing...
Or you can just install dd-wrt

Says it's unsupported on the website.

We would but the high end Diamond series doesn't support those kinds of custom firmwares.
