San Antonio Express-News and Houston Chronicle report Wednesday that Republican Rep. Debbie Riddle of Tomball says she will introduce the measure in the January legislative session. The new Arizona law would require local and state law enforcement to question people about their immigration status — and make it a crime for immigrants to lack registration documents. Riddle says if the federal government did its job "Arizona wouldn't have to take this action, and neither would Texas." Democrats say such legislation is misguided and predict it will hurt the GOP politically. [/release] If this doesn't make it to SCOTUS, I'll be damned.

First, immigration bill. Second; Nazi style tea parties.
Isn't a drivers license enough to prove you're a legal citizen? In which case standard procedure in pulling someone over and asking for license/registration would be enough to prove they are a citizen? Unless they don't have a license which is already a fine. In which case more questions about your immigration status would probably follow. It's not like they can pull people/question people just because they are Mexican. They need a reason first.
I don't understand what the big deal is with this law.
I don't understand what the big deal is with this law.
People think that they will be pulled over every two seconds and expected to have Birth Records, Social Security number, ID, and random bullshit on them at all times.
I don't understand what the big deal is with this law.
how would you feel if police pulled you over and searched you because they had reasonable suspicion your an illegal immigrant? By reasonable suspicion, I mean you're mexican.
Tea Party: PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION! Arizona and Texas: LET'S VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION! Tea Party: FUCK YEAH, GET THOSE MEX'CANS Obama: HEALTHCARE FOR EVERYONE! Tea Party: COMMIE FASCIST IMPEACH
