• Is the cup half-empty or half-full of water?

There is a cup that contains 50% water, and 50% air/whatever. Is it half-empty or half-full of water? To me, it depends on what happened to it. If it reached its state by filling, it's half-full. If by emptying, it's half-empty. What about you?
im gay so half full
it's holding half it's max capacity see, i'm neither optimistic or pessimistic
half water, half air. the glass is full.
half water, half air. the glass is full.
You wouldn't call this a full glass: [sp]But on meth you would.[/sp]
Depends on whats in the cup

Depends. If you fill the glass up with water then drink it down half way, I say its half empty. If you fill the glass up only half way, then it is half full.
Empty. Just drunk it.
It's halfway up your ass.
My glass is full of urine. :smith:
Half water, half atmosphere gases(such as nitrogen, oxygen, and argon)
Twice as big as it needs to be.
If it WAS full , then half empty If it wasnt half full
Its always full. 50% water 50% air. [editline]14th November 2010[/editline] ninja
Half filled with water.
Depends on where you started.
Half empty. Idiots.
Half-empty if you most recently were draining it, half-full if you more recently were filling it.
The glass is definitely one hundred percent half empty. And the other half is...I dunno, full of piss or something.
It's a good thing I put half of my water in this redundant glass

It's half empty. Mostly because when I'm thirsty I want to drink a full glass of whatever im drinking.
If it was reduced to half, then it's half empty. If it's filled to half, then it's half full. But usually it's half empty. I probably heard "half empty" first as a kid I guess.
If it's beer, then it is deemed half empty and requires a refill.
Also, it's okay to be half empty. As long as it's twice the strength.
Well, if the question is "if that much water is in the glass, then is it half empty or full", then I must say from the total volume of the glass, the concentration of the water is 50%: therefore it is half-full.
Who the fuck cares? Go get some more water when it's gone.
The cup is twice as big as it should be :3
i would measure it to 100,000,000th decimal to see if its excactly 50%, if it IS then ill drink it and say its empty
