• Going To DC. What to do?

I'm going to DC. I know it's pretty dumb of me to ask what to do in such a famous area, but I mean smaller places. Like family shops owned by Facepunchers, or smaller museums. I am going on October 30th, the day of the rally. I might go to the rally and I might not. I will be wearing my Facepunch shirt in case I see anyone there :)
Go to the rally.
Run into the white house while naked.
Trust me, there's hundreds of things to do there. The shier amount of of museums and monuments there is incredible. If you don't take the time to visit as many of them as possible, you'd only be depriving yourself. I'm pretty sure they have a tourist center with that sort of info if you really need to find specific stuff.

But like smaller places.
Try not to get shot.
Hoes.
Visit monuments and museums there are way too many things to do in D.C.

There are probably a few other sites out there dedicated to finding some of the smaller places. You also might want to pick up this book: http://www.amazon.com/Washington-D-C-Off-Beaten-Path/dp/0762751002 I have one for my state, it's a pretty good guide to find the small and unknown places.
It's weird because I'm going there for that week as well. I may see you there! [editline]09:44AM[/editline] You gotta wear a shirt to be able to tell who we are though.
Hit all the Smithsonians, they are incredible. Especially Air and Space. Oh, smaller places. To to China Town; you may think "ohh chineese" but it is pretty much downtown DC. The food there is incredible, and theres so much stuff there. Its the transfer terminal from red, yellow, and green metro lines.
Visit galaxy news radio.
Kill the neocons
Find your way to Vault 101.
Go to as many historical monuments as possible. Museums are also fun. Get on Yelp.com to find good restaurants to eat at. Some of the best food I've ever eaten was in the DC area.
Try not to get shot.
But really, there's waay too much shit in DC to see in just one visit.
Go visit Valve.
:downs: [editline]01:26PM[/editline] Washington D.C. not Washington state.
Washington D.C. not Washington state.
Sorry, I'm not American so I wasn't completely sure.
Smithsonian museums are fun.
Smithsonian. Enough said.
Mess with the bums, they are everywhere. Also bring money because everything is fucking expensive down there. Its like $8 for a meal at Mcdonalds.
take pictures of everything, maybe you'll catch an assassination
Here's a tip: Go to the Native American museum for food, they have a restaurant that serves meals based around recipes from every major tribe around the country. The buffalo is especially delicious, and the bread is surprisingly filling and good.
