have they announced pricing for the single player content yet? I am really interested in the story they could have in the DLC.

really hope they [sp]continue joel and ellie's story instead of playing as a new character[/sp] but i have a sneaking suspicion they won't.

Pffff, good fucking luck with that one guys.
What else could they do
[sp]Ish?[/sp]
What else could they do
well they said if they ever made another game set in the same universe [sp]they wouldn't use joel and ellie again[/sp] so maybe it would be the same way with DLC.
There are [sp]multiple points in the story where time skips forward[/sp]. Any singleplayer DLC can take place [sp]during those skips if Naughty Dog wanted to keep with Joel and Ellie.[/sp]
I dunno, I'd be cool with a 400 days type DLC that's about like, a bunch of different survivor stories, they created a pretty damn interesting post apocalyptic world after all, I'd love to get to see it through the eyes of different characters.
Imagine this:
A GOTY-esque version of TLoU for the PS4 with the 400 days type dlc the above poster mentioned with all the other dlc and such.
I'd like to see DLC regarding David's group.
Would like to see how they progressed to the point that you encounter them.
Jesus christ, i felt cheated spending $60 on the game. Asking $10 a piece for maps is insane

[sp]They've already confirmed the SP DLC will star a new character.[/sp]

If you don't mind my asking, how did you feel cheated? The Last of Us had a pretty significant amount of content; hell, my first playthrough alone clocked in around 17 hours, let alone NG+ and multiplayer.

Does that mean [sp]new player character or new companion character?[/sp] The article headlines say [sp]"star new character"[/sp] but the actual articles say Naughty Dog has only finished [sp]casting a new character[/sp] and that motion capture would begin soon.
I don't really know if the spoiler tags are necessary.

The story was great, but i really never enjoyed the gameplay.
Ive enjoyed quite a few games with similar gameplay, but this one.. i only ever had fun when there were no enemies. I felt like it was a cycle of some nice scenery, than some enemies, then a bullet sponge of a boss.
I finished the story, loved that part and would like to play again just to see if i missed anything, but then i remember the combat scenes and completely lose interest.
I feel cheated because the experience i had really doesnt feel worth $60. I did play it for ~15 hours, but i doubt ill play it again anytime soon
The Last of Us has multiplayer? I hadn't noticed.

the spoiler tags are neccessary because some people might [sp]not want to know that joel and ellie survive, like an anti spoiler that's still kind of spoily[/sp]
Pffff you guys everyone knows the end of the story.
Joel was secretly the real Santa Claus the whole time.

While the controller is horrible for aiming, which can easily throw you out of the immersion, the melee combat had an immense amount of weight to it and felt fantastic because of it.
Also, there are literally no bullet spongey enemies in the entire game, no matter what difficulty you're playing at, and very few bosses.

and as far as i'm aware there was only one mandatory boss. all the other ones you could sneak out of and away.
plus the bosses are easy, 3 molotovs and they are dead

There is only one real 'boss', so to speak, [sp]and that would be David (that boss fight is fucking amazing by the way)[/sp].
I suppose one could consider [sp]bloaters as boss fights, if you're desperate, but there are only two of those that you HAVE to fight[/sp], and they also go down, as you say, relatively easy.
Not really impressed with this dlc. I was really hoping that they would add a gamemode that isn't just another form of deathmatch. As for the maps themselves, 3/4 of them are more or less just cut and pastes from singleplayer with some modifications. They don't even have any special traits that add on to the gameplay. I hear that Suburbs apparently has a dust storm or something but that's basically the same thing as the snowstorm on lakeside.

It's actually fairly decent.

I played it on easy, i remember one boss/bigger guy where it took either all the bullets i had, or three well placed explosives to kill him.
I dont even remember what it was about combat that i didnt like, i finished the game a few days after it came out and havent played since then. I tried a second playthrough right after finishing, but lost interest a short ways in.
I remember another part where you sneak up on a few big guys, few mid guys, and a bunch of small ones. It took me 4-5 tries to make it. Id kill one guy, sneak away until they went, and repeat that. Eventually id be out of ammo, or one would just keep following me until he killed me

Bloaters have weak spots in the armor, or carapace, that the fungus has provided them with. You most likely missed all of those. Either that or you had very little ammo, which is a rare occurence on easy. About the explosives, nail bombs are much less effective than molotovs because of the big guys' protection.
[sp]The part you're most likely thinking of is the tunnel, seeing as it's the only place with more than one bloater. It is, however, quite easy to sneak past.[/sp]
