Hello FP I am (pretty sure) going to CampZone 2011. Is anyone of you going to CampZone? If you never heard of it: [release] CampZone is the world’s biggest outdoor gaming vacation with almost 2000 people which come to play games and compete with each other out of tents and caravans. The computers and gaming consoles are connected to each other using a Local Area Network and Internet connection. CampZone is held on a large field in Oirschot which is transformed yearly for this event into a fully qualified gaming-camping and lasts 11 days. This gaming-camping offers the participants the possibility to connect with the huge CampZone 10 Gigabit network, allowing everybody to play games and communicate digitally with each other. A) Went to it three times probably going again B) Why the fuck is the website in English while it majority is Dutch speaking, its fucking annoying. Battle station: Oh and I dude I know invited some people to come last year, well the got kicked off the event.
I'll just keep being an anti-social basement dweller.
Meh, the last time I went I woke up in a foot of water. Luckily I stored my pc on a plastic crate, so I managed to save it. If I can get my hands on a caravan/camper, or something more waterproof, maybe I'll go.
Was the event itself fun? (Activity's and stuff)
Yes, very fun. Especially when smoking a lot of pot, then entering the Counter-Strike Pot Server, and have a dance off in-game. (A lot of jumping and singing through microphone.) It was a fantastic time, the weather was just a real downer. It was only once though. All the other years the weather was fine. A tad hot at times, but at least no torrential rains. A few of the greatest things. First, when entering the site, we all got handed a little form stating that no illegally gained software should be shared on the network. But when you check all the sharing, the camp hosts themselves share 13TB of warez. :v: I of course, didn't share a thing because I don't download software that you have to pay for. Other things, were the snorting contests. One guy five tents from mine snorted wasabi powder, and I heard him screaming from where I was. What else... The mud/soap football contest in the inflatable arena. Duck hunt contest, which resulted in the screen hit detection ALWAYS detecting hits. So it became a contest of who could sit on the couch the longest and repeatedly squeeze the trigger. (I left after about three hours.) The DDR contest was fun, if not a tad... embarrassing. Best thing of all, there really were no major incidents. Like fights or stuff. I went with a friend, who was a part-time paramedic there, so he went for free. He just had to sit in an office on stand-by for four hours a day, or in the night sometimes.
looks pretty cool but I don't have a tent. also how much does it (or did it last year) cost? site says such info is available after tonight

And last year was colder imho. Make sure you have it like this: and not much can happen. (Use Duct tape) Never put something directly on the ground and and get some plastic shit to put your chair on so you don't rip open your lovely sail.
