• £300 to get a decent laptop for use in a photography studio.

So I've been working in a photography studio for the last 6 months and been mainly stuck on a old, slow, outdated and virus filled laptop. I've got pretty tired of this and it's making work pretty frustrating for me. I have £300 to spend on a laptop that will remove some of this frustration. Here's my main focus points I'm looking for in my buy: - Decent screen, resolution, color. Doesn't need to be the best in the world but I'm working with photos so it's quite important. - I'm using Photoshop all the time, so I want it to run as smooth as I can on my budget. I want the OS to run nicely too. (Maybe a laptop that is easy to upgrade so I can slap an SSD in it later?) - I don't use a mouse with my laptop because I move around too much so the trackpad must be very good! So basically good screen, trackpad, and as fast as possible on my budget. Unfortunately it's not much but it's all I'm wanting to spend in one go on a laptop just for work. I plan on buying this tomorrow so throw recommendations if you can! Just so I'm covering all grounds I don't need OS, and I live in the UK.
Look at IBM Thinkpads. I saw one with a first gen i5 for 300 US dollars on Tiger Direct. Overall though, you need a higher budget. Doesn't your job pay decent?

300 gbp for a laptop for a photography studio? You're fucked. Really, that's a way too low budget for a laptop that will run photoshop smoothly. [editline]8th May 2014[/editline] Asking too much for your money, try secondhances tho

Should have mentioned that. Anyway, found one in a local store that does the job fine. Runs it smoothly so I'm not fucked! :)
