• Windows 7 Killed my FPS

Well Title explains it.About 2 weeks ago I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit from Vista Ultimate 64 Bit. My game loading times are longer, and my FPS has lost about 20-30 in games like BF2,Cod4,Company of Heroes,L4D and BF2 starts lagging really bad for no reason,my FPS is fine when it happens and my ping is fine. Its really annoying to restart BF2 every 30-45 mins.Ive updated my Graphics drivers to 191.07 and still no luck. Im at a loss.Any suggestions or knowledge to whats going on?
chipset drivers
For the motherboard right? You are probably right..i haven't tried that yet.I will now though.
the 680i series has alot of problems with windows 7 (speaking overall so don't reply MINE WOKS FINE LOZ)
Well i Installed my motherboard drivers and will let you guys know how it works.
Well It didn't seem to help my FPS.I installed new mobotherboard drivers not chipset.Unless those include the chipset lol.Can anyone link me to chipset drivers?I can't seem to find them for my EVGA 680i. Any other suggestions to why its doing this?
Isn't 680i the chipset?
Well this is what I downloaded and installed.I didn't see a difference in FPS.It is really annoying. http://www.evga.com/support/drivers/ I went to Mainboards>680i>Win7 64 Bit and installed that version. No gain in FPS or loading.
Did you do a reformat when you went Vista > Win7? If not, I recommend that you reformat now and install windows 7  Upgrade installs have issues and they suck
I completely wiped my hard drive and installed windows 7.
Try and go to nvidia for the chipset drivers.
Couldn't find any nVidia chipset drivers.
