Democratic state Rep. Senfronia Thompson criticized the company by saying that “it would have been wiser if Mr. Tesla had sat down with the car dealers first.”
Fuckin Mr. Tesla
Indie car manufacturers ahoy!
What, is texas' economy dealership-based?
Why is our government like this
I find it hilarious that they're doing this. Since it won't halt the sales of Teslas in Texas at all. All someone has to do it go online and order it through Tesla's website instead of ordering it directly at the dealership through a representative, and then it gets towed in as normal. The tax money even still goes to Texas as well.

Just wait til you can 3D print your own kit car version of a Tesla and bypass these capitalist tools.

Buying a 3D printer and materials sounds quite capitalist to me.
Hello, Texas. Automotive industry here. Hey, this Tesla stuff is threatening to force us to adapt our increasingly outdated business models to a market wherein customers have better choices at more competitive prices. Anything you can do about that? Throw up some pointless roadblocks that force them to give us a cut of the pie for no particular reason, maybe? I know that what I'm asking is contrary to everything a competitive market is supposed to stand for, and is arguably unconstitutional, but, you know... I'll pay you.
Conservatives support the free market and are against regulating the free market, except when the free market actually starts to change shit.

Doesn't the hypocrisy of it make you sick?

That's why you 3D print the printer and the materials as well
Why is our government like this
Because it's bought and paid for by corporations and elites.
Doesn't the hypocrisy of it make you sick?
Makes me want to puke!
Fuckin Mr. Tesla
Whatda madduh wit him, I dun say him he ded.
This is how it is in Connecticut as well, for years now we're only allowed to buy new cars from dealerships that can maimtain the vehicle. It's ridiculous if you ask me, tellin us what we can and cannot buy. I'm all in favor of strong state power and a weak fed but in states where this bullshit is happening i think the feds should cut grants and support.
We have one of the highest national averages of gasoline yet we still pay a special gas tax and road tax that were supposed to go away by now
Why is our government like this
Because people elect them in or they run unopposed
Because it's bought and paid for by corporations and elites.
Goerge Carline put it best
Garbage in garbage out.
It the voters to blame here.

Amen brother. As I've said ad nauseum, greed can turn men into beasts, driving them to try and keep things the same so they aren't weakened by a change in the status quo.
But we could dig our holes while they build their walls. And one day, them walls are gonna fall.
Conservatives support the free market and are against regulating the free market, except when the free market actually starts to change shit.
Except this rep is a Democrat.
Thats true but this has both parties internally divided which is weird. Both reps and dems both support it and are against it. Sounds like people looking out for there own interest
Clearly if he cant even get the name of the CEO right he doesn't give a shit and is most certainly being paid off. I don't know why we allow such blatant corruption.
Except this rep is a Democrat.
Except it was supported by both parties, the article mentions said Democrat because she said something fuck tarded in relation to Tesla Motors.
A ban on the ban of fracking, now this. haha fuck you texas i'm out of your nazi germany
Auto dealer lobby is too strong here. Last I heard over 90% of Texans polled wanted it to go though.

Godwin aside, that's the dumbest and most inaccurate comparison I can think of.
Also, it's not that Texas forbid the sale, it's just that the bill that would allow it expired before being heard. As did many other bills awaiting their chance. Tesla can try again in 2017.
Someone get the cemetary on the phone, we gotta dig up Nikola for car dealer negotiations.
