I've had windows 7 since the first beta now(no, i don't have the first beta now, i have the RTM now)and i meet problems with it when i've had it for 1 month or so. I'm seriosly thinking about going back to XP, but i'm so in love with the interface, aero  the problems i'm facing are: 1. When i've had the computer running for ~1 hour, all icons stops working and Computer isn't working at all. 2. My keyboard can stop responding or start to lag at any moment(And that's happening right now, annoying) Dno if that has to do with the os tho. My worries about getting xp again is that my mouse isn't smooth AT ALL in it. Sometimes it can just spaz around the screen. This is not a choose for me thread, just a help thread [editline]info[/editline] Specs 2 GB Ram AMD Athlon 7850 Dual-Core Processor 2.80 GHz, oc'd to 2.90 x86 Geforce 8800GTS Keyboard: Wireless, PS2 - A4 Tech RFKB-23A (i have tried changing the batteries)
Specs please
Specs please
specs doesn't matter, since the problems only come after a month or two. [editline]08:41PM[/editline] The problem dissapears after each reinstall. I never install anything i'm not sure will work
Glad I could help. :)
You didn't.
You didn't.
I provided solutions based on the information you gave us. 2 even.
Lol. My solutions: 1. Its beta. 2. Its free so shut the fuck up. 3. Your drivers or hardware arent supported by Windows 7, so stop being cheap and buy the latest gear. 4. If it bothers you that much either: install xp or giveup computers. Door ---> |_|

We do need specs, though OP.
USB Keyboard? Put it in another slot.
O its out? Lawl my bad didnt see that. Even so I did read op and as Panda X said, theres no info. Theres no info on the type of e.g. keyboard like is it wireless, normal, make, drivers required etc. Its like: My computer wont boot, it makes a noise when it turns on. This has happened since I installed Windows 7. How would you be expected to be able to help someone OVER THE INTERNET with a problem like that? Theres no info e.g. error messages, does the screen lightup etc... :P
Put it in another slot.
That's what she said... Anyhow... Are you sure your primary HDD isn't going into a sleep mode and failing to wake up?
Reinstall = fix. It's not difficult and if the problem is that serve, I recommend you do it.
Still no specs. Maybe there's a driver issue you need to fix?

You might want to just try another keyboard for awhile and see if it still does it if nothing else.
Did you do an Upgrade install? If you did go do a clean install.
Perhaps the PC is overheating..?
Bit of a long shot but you don't have to install drivers for your keyboard/mouse do you? (outside of generic Windows ones)
Bit of a long shot but you don't have to install drivers for your keyboard/mouse do you? (outside of generic Windows ones)
Nope
So you got the RTM huh. And you acquired this how? Sometimes people that upload OS's to pirate sites stick trojans on it.
So you got the RTM huh. And you acquired this how? Sometimes people that upload OS's to pirate sites stick trojans on it.
MSDN/Technet is a possibility too.
Thats why I asked how he acquired it.
i got it from MSDN. [editline]08:46PM[/editline] Windows 7 isn't the problem tho, i've got windows xp now, and it still lags. I'm starting to think this keyboard is getting old and rusty :c
I like how you made it like a news story. "More inside!" hehe. It sounds like a hardware issue if it affecting XP. Have you tried putting it in another slot yet?
Thats why I asked how he acquired it.
Well it leaked just like the other 50 or so builds.
I know that it leaked.
1st problem: bad drivers / hardware issue 2nd problem: replace keyboard and mouse
