• Cheap horizontal ATX case required

I have an old asrock motherboard, AMD K7 and Geforce 8400 laying around and wanted to build an old windows XP machine for old games, possibly use it as a fileserver. I'm finding it dificult to find the older horizontal cases online, I need something around or under £50. Am I better off just finding a clean 2nd hand case and spraying it black?
Why do you need a horizontal case in the first place??
I have a shelf under my desk out of the way for it to sit. I'd rather have it there than out on top.
Put a vertical case on it's side? ...
Pretty much every case has fans on one side of it allowing it to lie on the other side. If you want a fancy horizontal case with rotated drive bays, they cost quite a bit more.

That looks quite nice, do Newegg ship to the UK?

Oh, looks like I will have to find a case around a bootsale then. It's going to be cheaper that way anyhow, and I might get some RAM and a motherboard to sell on at the same time.
yeah I was gonna look on Newegg for you but then I saw you used the pound sign. Try scan.co.uk maybe?
Sorry didn't see the currency, ill look tomorrow.
Would this sort of thing do, Or is it a bit too specialist. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134806
I'm probably gonna go with this one. Thanks for the input, though. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/silverstone-milo-ml03b-micro-atx-black-slim-htpc-case-with-usb3-w-o-psu-%28atx%29

I'm still gonna keep and eye out down the bootsale for a couple of weeks, I'm in no hurry to buy ths thing.
I think you mean an "ATX Desktop Case" vs. an "ATX Tower Case". The former was popular in the 80's to mid 90s, before the latter started to become more popular, probably due to more room in the case and the monitor not being as high.
I didn't know Packard Bell still existed.
I think they are in the UK now or something but they are not in the US still because of the whole selling refurbished parts in new computer that made their failure rate sickening. we had one and its was one of the worst computers that we ever had and I still have the monitor and its the only one that has ever had problems.

I think the only good machines they made were in the 80486 line. Anything after that was rubbish.
