OK, this year it is Watch Dogs 2, but what will be their big October/November 2017 game then ? Splinter Cell ? Beyond Good and Evil 2 ?

Watch Dogs 2 on extended life support
if their newest projects' post launch support is anything like siege i can see ubisoft easily getting back to their non-evil perception in the early 2000s
Does that also take into account the possible hostile Vivendi takeover ?
A Far Cry game with its time taken is fine by me
Good.
Assassins Creed went from a fun and interesting series to over saturated and dull very fast.
It never should have been a yearly series.

pretty much nothing should be a yearly series
they don't end well
I hope to fuck Ubisoft is learning. If the largest game dev by population can learn something from their failures, maybe there's a glimmer of hope for this industry still.
Far Cry 3, 4, and Primal all share so so much content. If they take their time and really create an updated game that doesn't feel like it has a bunch of recycled components, it could be genuinely incredible.
The story of AC is just shitty tbh. Assassins VS Templars except there's also ancient super advanced aliens? That's not cool, that's so conspiracy pandering and annoying.

shit even late 00s they did weird risky shit like the prince of persia reboot. i'd be happy if they tried stuff like that again
ubisoft has had such a weird history as a company
Here's to hoping they won't get taken over by Vivendi.

Wait there are aliens in AC now??
Wait there are aliens in AC now??
What do you mean "now"? AC II already established that.
Wait there are aliens in AC now??
Assassins Creed has always had this poorly written underlying scifi story about how humanity was created by some alien super race but everything was destroyed by some natural disaster.
To the point where the subplot of Assassins creed III was preventing the apocalypse that was supposed to happen in 2012.
Whole thing was a pretty big twist at the end of AC II, but they've gone fucking nowhere with it since.

they don't end well
Valve sure didn't like crunching to make L4D2 in a year and it seems like it left a lasting impact on them

Probably another remaster or next-gen port.
Next year is the tenth anniversary of the Assassin's Creed franchise, I wouldn't be surprised if they did something for that.

Hence why I said "another".
