I want to gain around 30 to 40 pounds by fall for football and I'm going to use weight gainers, and more than likely bulking. I just want to know how do I bulk as I haven't done it before and don't know what foods in the bulking diet I am supposed to eat.
Assuming that you train your whole body about 5 times a day with great intensity and you are gifted enough to be able to naturally pack on 10 lbs of muscle in one year, do you realize that out of those 40 pounds that you will gain, its highly probable that, only %5 or less of that will be muscle and the rest fat?
If that doesn't bother you much, you can pretty much eat what you want while you train as long as you stay away from junk/fast food and keep it within reason while getting in the proper amount of protein and sleep, i'd say.

i mean really fall for HS football season starts in less than four months. gaining the fat so fast can't be so good for you but its your call bro

Well my main concern is increasing the size on my upper body by a lot (since I have pretty massive legs already), and gaining weight in turn, even if it isn't the full 30 or 40 lbs that I'm aiming for.

wat
gaining 10 lbs of muscle in a year shouldn't be too big of a challenge.
btw gomad owns
For a high school kid? Excluding the mass he would've gained naturally here, unless he can max his gains with proper nutrition and a consistent, solid lifting plan that works for him, he's going to struggle. Most kids would.
I was figuring about 2.5 lbs muscle gain per yearly quarter and figured he'd be wise enough to space out his weight gain over the 4 months.
Also meant workout 3-5 times a week, not.a day. heh

I didn't even really give him the answer he was looking for because his question is basically: "how can I get fat?"
Unless he's a skinny fuck it kind of strikes me odd considering he's posting in a fitness forum
i dont even?? where the hell did you get 2.5 lbs/3months of muscle
really irrelevant shit i know i don't know why i even started throwing in imaginary numbers anyway
and then youre basically saying as a beginner that most of the gains he would have would be fat
idgi??/
Right well it would be given his time frame, wouldnt it? If he wants to gain 40 lbs by fall (~4 mo. away) where does he think the majority of that mass will come from?
Shit I think he already knows that but without knowing his weight or what he looks like I assume this isn't something your average framed/weighted guy with the goal of would do just for something so temporary. Just seems like more trouble than it's worth, that's all.
ive seen more than enough people to realize ~40 lbs is very likely in 6 months for some people. for him im expecting ~20
Well of course I don't want that much fat, I just want to gain as much muscle as possible. So I'd like to know diets and workout programs that work toward that.
40lbs in 4 month isn't impossible.
Regardless it won't all be muscle, but you can still keep a good physique.
Tips: Eat ALOT, ALOT ALOT ALOT. No diet, just eat lots, lots and lots of clean good food. Shoot for a gallon of milk a day. Get on creatine, thats a good 5-10lbs right there. Lift hard and heavy. Compound lifts deadlifts, squats, cleans, pushpress, bench, military press rows ect.
i want to do this milk thing now
heres how you do it look are you ready. are you ready.
are you ready.
are you eating right now?
YES: EAT MORE.
NO: EAT NOW.
I'm eating, chill out :v:
