My friend asked me to build him a new PC for between $500-$600. He already has a mouse, keyboard, speakers, and a monitor, so I all needed was the physical computer. I was wondering if you guys could take a look and tell me what you think. I'm not sure if theres a better way to link the parts, but I just took a screenshot. I dont see anything wrong with that.
Don't get a 4850 1GB; just get a 4850 512MB. Raidmax case = shit. Raidmax PSU = shit.

NO cable management with the fold-out mobo tray. Raidmax PSUs are exceedingly crappy.
You don't need thermal paste if you aren't getting an aftermarket heatsink. As prisma said, find a new case/PSU. I suggest this for the PSU and this for the case. Also, don't get a sony DVD drive.
Ah crap, he went ahead and bought the parts when I told him not to... thanks for the advice, though. I'll see if we can return some of the parts or something [editline]06:58PM[/editline] Sorry for double post, but I've done a little more reading up on the Case and PSU... most customer reviews are saying they had a pretty good time with it and everything is running well. Also for $60 it isn't a bad deal. And as far as cable management goes, it's not too big of a deal. He's looking for a decent house computer for occasional games, so aesthetics aren't really a priority.
actually 4xxx series perform better when given 1gb of vram
