I used to get demos from the Official Playstation Magazine. It was amazing to get to play all those games, I wish the magazine didn't stop publication.
I remember the CD full of demos and stuff, that came with every PC Gamer. :allears:
I remember when you could get Supreme Commander CD demo's at Game for free. Those were the days
I wouldn't have bought Just Cause 2 without the demo, same goes for a lot of other games.
It seems like the consoles gets demos more often than the PC does these days, it's weird really.
Demos should be essential to any game, just as trailers are essential to movies. You can't get a feel for how the game will play out with just trailers.
I remember the old days where you find demos in the extras section of a game
I remember the CD full of demos and stuff, that came with every PC Gamer. :allears:
It still comes with a disc as far as I know. The last one I bought had a flimsy "Eco-Disc" packed in.
I remember getting a demo for "Treasure Planet: Battle of Procyon" in a cereal box. I quickly bought the whole thing and it's one of my favorite games of all time.

Aw man, demos were awesome back in the days, I remember getting demos with magazines and then buying demo compilations too. :3: Also, am I the only one who thought this was related to the Demoman dying at a first glance? :v: (Then I noticed it was an RPS article.)
Thought this was about TF2. :saddowns:
I was hoping this to be about the demo music scene. :saddowns:
