A few weeks ago my computer wouldn't boot right. I would wait and the keyboard LEDs wouldn't flash and the screen wouldn't go on. Generally I had to reboot just once to fix that, but now I have to do it some arbitrary number of times befre anything happens. And now it shuts down, no reset, no power outage, at some random point: The second I fire up the computer: a minute afterwards, an hour. I suspected it to be a problem with Windows 7, bt uts the exact same on Lnux. tredchaging the plug but it still shuts down randomly.
Help me Facepunch, I had to type this up in my Kindle's browser because the computer is failing :saddowns:
Is this a custom build computer or a prebuilt? What are the specs? PSU?

Prebuilt; AMD Anthlon IIx3 445, 3.10 Gigahertz, 4 Gigabytes RAM; Windows 7 32-bit and Arch Linux 64-bit; don't know the PSU, I'll have to open it and see.
EDIT: Is there any way I can view PSU details from within the operating system?

Nope.
Sounds like a PSU problem to me if it is becoming incredibly unreliable.
It could be the motherboard
Have you checked if there is a lot of dust in the computer? I hadn't dusted mine out and it started shutting down randomly.
Does it make a loud beeping noise? If so, I think your motherboard is on it's way out but I'm not sure.
Also, take it apart and clean all the dust. If your fan is in a case, take it off and clean that too.
Definitely check your PSU. Prebuilt PC's usually come with cheap ass PSU's that aren't worth shit. Unless you buy like a 2000$ prebuilt they usually put good ones there.
