Here are two fun little stories for you.
I had just ordered a new processor with next day shipping. The next day the mailman thought it would be funny to not knock and just leave a slip.
I'm in the shower. I hear the door ring. I rush down stairs to open it. I open the door. The doorman says since the package isn't for me someone has to sign for it and I'm to young to even though I am towering over him and have signed for many packages before. He gives me a stupid slip. The problem is the last time I ordered from this company (two years ago) I had it set to my mother's name and forgot to change it this time. Now both of us have to go to the post office and sign for this crap. What's worse we can't pick it up until Saturday.
tl;dr Mailmen suck.

Just doing his job eh?
They just follow protocol, I bet he wanted to give you it, but couldn't because whatever mail company you had to suffer under has rules to protect packages therefore he couldn't give you it
mailmen suck because they're hired to follow shit policies
that makes sense.
ITT: OP shoots the messenger
Your fault for being young, and also considering it was in your mother's name. Who knows, you could be one of those kids that 'borrows' their parents credit cards and then buys a bunch of crap online.

If I was "young" I would be at school right now. :v:
The mailwomen that deliverys my mail and the closet post office don't even need to see my id now, since I am constantly mailing and recieving packages. Sometimes if they see me walking down the street and is going away from my house, they'll just hand me the package in the middle of the road, if it isn't too big.
Gotta love Canada Post <3
I had a similar issue, the guy was supposed to deliver it on Friday, he leaves a slip without knocking at all, I run down the street to get him with it, and he says he can't give it to me until Monday.
I call the post office, but guess what, they closed at 1pm, it was about 1:05pm so they wouldn't do anything.
To top it off, the box was damaged, as was some of the things inside of it.
I have a maillady

Too young to sign for a processor? When I worked for UPS, the only packages that we needed adult signatures on were things like alcohol.

maybe it's an alcohol fuelled processor.

No, Read the post. The mailman didn't knock for the processor. I did sign for it though when I went to get it.

I actually like USPS better; you get free boxes. We have to pay for them if you want Canada Post to give you boxes.
