So i'm exiting my room and then I step on the edge of my carpet, and the nail pokes right into my skin. (I don't think it's a deep cut..) I'm not sure if it was rusty or not, how would I find out if it was rusty or not?
My house has only been around for one year or so.
Please, Facepunch. I need your help.

How big was the nail?
Unless it was quite big then I wouldn't be worried, just wash it out and apply some of that shit iodine spray or any other variant.
Go to the doctor just in case, better safe than sorry.
I think you should see your doctor and get off facepunch. Tetanus is serious.
1st off
look at it, if it's brown or dirty, it's rust
2nd, if you had your shots recently it's fine

I can't tell, it's one of those nails used for carpets.
This thread reminded me of how scary it is to not be tetanus immunised. Every rusty object was a threat! I could see them watching me, saying, "Go on, touch me. I WANT TO KILL YOU!". It was horrible.

1. I can't tell! It's in my carpet poking upwards.
2. I forgot if I had mine recently.
3. Nobody's home except me.

Oh; and I have Rubbing Alchohol and Neosporin at my disposal, can't find any cotton swabs.
Just wash it and if it grows huge then you go to a doctor.
Doesn't Tetanus give you Lock-Jaw?
Man, that's gonna suck, call a doctor.
