I remember when a game console played only games. Not to say independent film sucks but we don't need this shit.
I remember when a game console played only games. Not to say independent film sucks but we don't need this shit.
If game consoles were only for games, what would be the point? A console doesn't need to be JUST for games, it can be whatever the hell it wants. I use my 360 for things that aren't games all the time. Do I play games on it? Sure, but I also watch movies and shows on it along with listen to music.
If game consoles were only for games, what would be the point?
Have we really reached a point where electronics CAN NOT have a dedicated task?
I remember when a game console played only games. Not to say independent film sucks but we don't need this shit.
"I remember when phones only made phone calls"
Have we really reached a point where electronics CAN NOT have a dedicated task?
When most people's phones are also their main computer, not anymore really
Have we really reached a point where electronics CAN NOT have a dedicated task?
need not - why would you have a movie player and a game console when you can have one thing that does both?
Have we really reached a point where electronics CAN NOT have a dedicated task?
If we did, we'd be spending more money than necessary and end up cluttering our households. I only own a Blu-Ray Player because A) It was free and B) I like to see high-fidelity entertainment.
Have we really reached a point where electronics CAN NOT have a dedicated task?
Because it CAN play games and having extra features does not hurt the 360 in ANY sort of way. Why ARE you even using a computer than. These things are the VERY DEFINITION OF A MULTI-TASKER. Hell, and honestly, if a device or program kills two birds with one stone and does it well, why complain? I don't even have to point out the fact that even with all their extra features, the PS3 and 360 are GAMING consoles, that is their "dedicated" task and that is what majority of people use it for.
Kewl, they released it on a console instead of on youtube for free
Kewl, they released it on a console instead of on youtube for free
I'd say, to be fair, that some people might want to be 'totally fucking indie and hipster' and not do the obvious. Not to say anything against their film (I haven't watched it), but it seems like they just did it to be 'totally fucking underground and different'
I remember when a game console played only games.
yeah and it was fucking shite
I remember when a game console played only games. Not to say independent film sucks but we don't need this shit.
They're pretty much just locked-down personal computers now.
Doing multimedia was a HUGE step forward for consoles, the PS1 being able to play music CDs and the PS2 being able to play DVD movies (and at one point even connecting to netflix) was a huge selling point and one of the reasons why the consoles got so popular. Next logical step is movies you can only get on consoles, and integrated social media. The only way this is bad is when companies focus on multimedia and gimmicks and leave traditional videogames as an afterthought, which really feels like what Microsoft is doing now with the whole "it's an ENTERTAINMENT console" and their last few events (Microsoft's E3 conference aka Kinect Fest 2012)
Have we really reached a point where electronics CAN NOT have a dedicated task?
wait are you complaining that electronic devices can have more than one function now?
