After playing the beta I still don't know if I want to front the money to pre-purchase Evolve. I'm skeptical that it'll hold a community despite how much fun I had (Wraith/Kraken balance issues aside). I'm also put off by the concept of day 1 monster/hunter DLC. The biggest issue presented in the beta was one of variety, and withholding monsters/hunters as DLC so early in the games life seemed like a terrible decision.
Why don't they just release it with the fucking game at least on Steam and digital releases, I mean
What's up with the usage of the word "BIG" with this game? It's like in every post involve Evolve.
I don't get the problem with day one patches that some people have. Sure, there's definitely examples of bad uses of it, but there's plenty of examples of good uses of it where it can add functionality and some stability to games. I don't see balance tweaks and functionality improvements required to be part of the game when modern game production standards usually give studios almost a month to tweak and play with their games balance and etc and upload/update it with a simple patch. Especially for online focused games, this just makes sense to me.
What's up with the usage of the word "BIG" with this game? It's like in every post involve Evolve.
Because the Monsters and maps are large. They like to push the fact that the prey are two to three times the size of a hunter by default

I still don't think it's worth $60 for what it's offering. Maybe $40...

They would have needed to delay the game even more if they were to add the 4th monster and 4th tier of hunters at launch. This way we get the game early and later on the new characters are added after launch as DLC or free if you pre-order.
