The AH completely ruins Diablo 3 for me. Instead of having to find awesome loot, I can (have to) just buy it from the AH. It's no fun. Got to the second boss on Nightmare and just stopped playing.
Pretty opinionated article for shack news :v:
Honestly, I enjoyed the game... Up until act 3 or 4. It just got so boring. And considering the game was short as fuck to begin with, you just ended up playing the same shit over and over again. It was fun at first, but was definitely not worth the money I put down for it.
Fuck, ninjas. Anyways, There was a good cracked article about this called the skinner box.
I have a feeling they planned for it to be like that. Since Diablo 3 doesn't have a monthly subscription tied to it and I guess can be re-downloaded at will once purchased, it made the "initial game is bare bones, buy the inevitable expansions to get the real game" an apparently more viable option. Like I said, they'll make it you gotta fight Cyber-Diablo, Ultra Mega Diablo, Olbiad or some other tacked on "true villain". For the record, I know things were somewhat the same with Diablo 2 and LOD.
If it's addictive to level up, are people not having fun? The closest I've ever got to playing anything that's anywhere near this is TF2, but sometimes the lines between addictive and fun are a bit blurred.
I had fun until I got to Inferno, which is okay because I bought the game knowing I wasn't going to want to farm Inferno. Between my 60 monk and the 4 other characters I have between 30 and 50 though I've already invested over 120 hours.
Monk Act 1 Inferno stopped playing now it's so damn pointless I can't see or hear it anymore.
