Tell me your opinions on the movie.
I know people will discuss if this movie is racist so go ahead and debate!
lmao wow this looks so good literally every line from every single person is dropping a fucking bomb on any ignorant white people. Definitely will be seeing it. Looks as important as it does hilarious.
"sometimes i think the hardest thing to be... as an educated white guy" FUCKKK ITS SO ON POINT

Can already hear dumbasses calling racism or ""BUT NOT ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE THE SAME :(((" though. I can tell from the trailer alone this is a film written by someone passionate about racism and black representation in America which is of course is a big issue (if you think it isn't then you're ignorant as hell or maybe you're just racist) and I'm glad to see this has been made.

i think the movie is about making fun of both sides because both sides are idiots.
trailer seems to reflect that well
will probably give it a watch

Um I guess but I don't think the black people here are nearly as dumb as the white people and if you are trying to say representation of white people in America is as big an issue as that of black people (and from the trailer it appears this is the big theme of the film) then basically open your eyes. this film seems to be focusing on living as a black person dealing with this ignorance and (sorry but not that sorry for using this tumblr-y phrase) unchecked privilege as well as institutionalised racism within America. the film's clearly satire all round but it seems mostly focused on pointing out how accidentally silly or offensive white people can be(to any minority, poc, oppressed person etc) I really do not think the film is calling out black people for being unhappy with how they're represented or treated in America because frankly there's not really much to call them out for. It's totally justified for them to want change.
I wanna see it, I think it will be making fun of both sides of the race issue (mainly the white side).
i hate people who use the word privilege, they usually use it incorrectly.
also, i look forward to the movie.

congratulations, you're part of the problem!
it looks like a fantastic satire film

How and which problem
And I meant the white people in the trailer are portrayed to be pretty ignorant which they are because like it's a real thing this kinda "innocent"/ignorant racism. I'm not saying black people are all smarter than white people in the real world lmao

'the dumb white people are dumber than the dumb black people!' is some kinda idiotic dumbass racist shit that movie is trying to dispel

all of the extremists in the trailer were portrayed as being equally ignorant. that's the point. the fact that you see it as otherwise says something about you

this whole 'black people can do no wrong, and when they do, the white people are still wronger' thing is dumb as hell
Ok I see what you mean and I agree I just kinda argued in a more one sided way than intended I obviously don't think one race is better or smarter than the other cos that is legitimate racism of course. An extremist of any kind is a danger and bad representation of what the stand for (and really they tend to end up going against their own beliefs) like sticking with the black and white thing if a black dude attacks a white guy purely cos he is white that is a hate crime even though the black man is through no fault of his own an oppressed citizen, but I don't think black people standing up and questioning and trying to change how they are represented, trying to remove the glorification of being an oppressed minority (it's not in the trailer but the wiki says the crux of the film is white kids hosting a "black themed" party which is racist as fuck but they wont think they're being actually racist and that I think is what this film is trying to tackle)
Obviously black people can do wrong and it can be based off race. I don't argue that.
The film is not some black people rule, white people suck thing and it's not an anti white manifesto that's obvious cos as you said it pokes fun at both sides but there's merit to the black side like they are sick of being misreprented and are nonviolently attempting to make people realise that black people are misreprented and want to change it. Where's the merit to white college dudes being casually racist lmao there is none but the black people live in a culture that is both oppressive towards them and glorifies them and it's really fucked up and I'd fight for change too.
[editline]22nd August 2014[/editline]
To clarify my last point I'm not justifying violence or hatred towards white people I'm saying black people want change in a world that treats them poorly and that is 100% acceptable and right
