Hey guys, just a quick question on After Effects.
I am pretty new to it and was wondering if there is a shortcut to make the video automaticly be the right size for the preview box, when I drag the video in it starts off very large and the video is incredibly zoomed in, so I have to manually drag it down, is there a shortcut to make it automaticly snap to fit the preview box? Thanks!

In the bottom left of the preview box there should be a dropdown menu that allows you to change the zoom level. There's an option for "fit" or "fit up to 100%". Click either of these and it should resize the video to fit the preview box.
Cool thanks. Only other problem I'm having is that I have a Kodak ZI8 and the file type is .mov, and it seems all the editors have a problem with this format, would anybody know how to fix this at all?
Actually I just tried what you said and it seems to just center the image, but it is still zoomed in.
For the zoom problem, there should be a zoom option on the preview window itself. Just use "fit to screen" or something like that. As for the extension, .mov files should work. I use a Kodak Easyshare(?) Camera and the extension works fine. If you need to reencode it, use a program called SUPER.

i used a program called "RADvideo"

Ah yeah for the zoom I just press CTRL+ALT+F and it fits it automaticly :)
I dunno really I have read about alot of people having problems. I get a black screen in Vegas when I bring a .mov into it.
I will try the SUPER program thanks.
