any sort of cc will do... please :-)
Meh.
Doesn't seem very interesting.
hmmm...
I'm trying out a new type of format: short and impactful,
guess it's not really working.
Could you be specific,
do you find it boring?
Not enough progression?

Well, there are no recognisable melody and nothing happens during the song.
Basically just a drum beat with sounds fading in and out every now and then.
Interesting experimentation, I like where it's headed.

How can you say nothing happens in the song? There's a lot of different sounds and rhythms as it progresses.

I recommend you look into Glitch music OP

If you're inspired by things, you'll learn more. :)
If you go back and listen to the synth line there is a melody to it,
but maybe since the song is so short,
it doesn't stick really?
melody doesn't mean much if if comes off as invisible...
thanks AK'z,
tryn to really go out there with the sound to try something new,
sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't,
posted this and a few others on Facebook as well and most people ignore it,
it's kinda disheartening but I'd still rather try something new

Give the track I posted a listen, tell me your thoughts.
I like some of the sounds I hear. Backwards percussion samples is an.. interesting idea. The production is solid, no piercing/muddy frequencies and it has a nice mix. I think this is a neat 'off-the-beaten-path' track but it isn't something I would use as a mainstay. As an experiment, though, I would call it somewhat successful.
lovn that track AK'z,
some really deep rhythms in there,
the ending is far out.
also I'm a big fan of Marvin.
thanks for the feedback Bob,
I think maybe I'll take what I learn from this experimental album,
and use elements of it in my mainstay,
whatever my mainstay turns out to be hehe :)
That's what I do. I mainly work on trance, but I've done quite a few ambient and experimental tracks. It really was a great learning experience and I gained a lot from it. I use techniques I learned from it in all of my music. Breaking your boundaries and leaving the comfort zone can always do great things for you.
definitely very true,
the other thing I always wonder about is when to put music out there,
these forums are different because we all help each other and almost everything is considered a wip,
it feels safer in my opinion,
but putting the album out there for people to download/purchase is different...
I guess what I'm trying to get at is does one put out an album like this and say this is music meant for others to hear,
or is it better to keep these songs to one's self as a sort of reference.
I'm starting to lean towards the latter after the lack of response (feels like blank stares) I'm getting at other online venues.
At first my attitude was to exercise complete "open development",
but now I'm not so sure...
It's nice to stick a track like this somewhere in an album because it can break up style/genre monotony. It's something different.
