It would mean that the Swedish authorities can search through databases and obtain information instantly and out of control of the operators, quite like the American Prism program. Now Sveriges Radio reveals a hidden recording where the Swedish Security Police (Säpo) try to put pressure on ISP Bahnhof CEO Jon Karlung, to unite behind the system. In the negotiations, both promises and threats are used. Among other things, Säpo's representative Kurt Alavaara promises that the deal will be kept a secret from the public. - When we sign these agreements we also commit ourselves to not tell who we have agreements with and which technical solutions we have chosen. But the technical parts of it never goes out to the public and we do not talk about it when we have done deal. It is a confidential promise, says Kurt Alavaara, signalingstrategic advisor at Säpo. The recording shows that Karlung opposes the plans for a fully automated system and instead want to continue with the manual processing of traffic data, which made Säpo's representative to raise his tone and argue that such a thing plays into the hands of terrorists. - We suspect a terrorist attack in central Stockholm and receive information that makes it valuable for us to overcome. And this information we recieve on Friday night at 20 outside office hours. The answer, with manual processing of traffic data, means that we will receive that information on Monday morning. Then a charge detonates in Stockholm city with 800 deaths. I don't think you'd want to be CEO of Bahnhof, when you say you want to do assessments in operational matters, said Kurt Alavaara. In an interview with Aftonbladet, Karlung tell us about the meeting. He says that Säpo was looking to "sell" the system by offering membership in a "secret club", which would give some sort of advantage when dealing with Säpo. He considers the story about the hypothetical terrorist attack, as a "direct threat." - I interpreted it as a direct threat. He threatened me. That type of rhetoric is a threat, said Jon Karlung.
http://www.sweclockers.com/nyhet/18044-sapo-pressar-bahnhofs-vd-i-inspelad-forhandling-om-avlyssningsavtal http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=83&artikel=5735453 http://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/article18037238.ab
