I bought a 32GB microSD card from ebay (don't even get me started about that, I know it was a terrible decision) and it came yesterday. Eager to see if it was legit, I plugged it in to see there was 31GB free on it. Did a speed test to confirm it was class 6.
Then it failed today. The system sees it as read only and 8.00MB of capacity. I'm not sure if this was a faulty card or what, but what can I do here? I've tried fixing the card with formatting and such, but I can't really do shit as it's read only.
I believe this is a damaged item, not a counterfeit.
Pray to God, have faith, and the device will be fixed.

I knew fast threads would be a bad idea.
Probably a defect card.

And what do I do if the seller refuses to exchange?
Open a Paypal dispute

The only option for paypal disputes is one that redirects me to ebay, not what I want.

Just a fyi Paypal = Ebay. (Paypal is owned by ebay).

Yeah, but I hear paypal gets down to business and refunds the money while ebay tries to mediate the issue and have the guy willfully give it back. Then if he refuses, they side with him.
:v:
Opened up an ebay dispute, lets see how this goes.
Oh well, if not then $45 down the drain, no biggie.

Guy refunded me that fast. Guess he didn't know the shipment was faulty :v:
Why didn't you try all the solutions you know, then make a thread?
Jump.
Get a posse, go to the guy that you bought it from's house, and break his legs with baseball bats

Or you could do something else to him
:q:
I have had the same problem as the OP. Bought a 16GB MicroSD card off Ebay for $25 and when I plugged it in it was 8mb and read only.
