Looking for a good setup that would include atleast this monitor factored into the price, but I need help. Thanks in advance. http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/
Let me have a gander for a moment. Will edit my post once I'm done. Quick edit: Are you looking to OC your stuff? I'd recommend it; it's not hard and it's free. Edit no. 2: I am expecting you to only pay for the computer itself and the screen; everything else is probably in house (Keyboard, Mouse). FINAL EDIT: I made you a build for $1492. I left the case out for you to choose. Not everyone has the same taste.

Since you are starting from scratch, there is no reason not to get an i5 4670k cpu and Z87 mobo.
Here: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/iAMunderDog/saved/1ZYu
I dont want to leave and order on just one persons build idea. Can someone confirm is this is a good build or not, or make one that is better. No offensee, I just want to get a variety of options to choose from.
To be honest, that build he posted isn't that great.
He can overclock FX 8320 to FX 8350 clocks, this CPU is better for streaming than an i5 or an old i7 2600k w/ HT. There is a Radeon HD 7950 Sapphire for around 260$ on Newegg, AMD cards have far better Open CL, C++ AMP and better Open GL performance than comparable card card from nVidia. For gaming is okay while for extreme multi tasking its better than i5 and in streaming also. So if he ever plans to do streaming, 3D modelling or video editing then this build is great just for that plus it has a great motherboard for overclocking and other things. :) In the end it will cost 880-890$ so I am doubtful he could get an i7 with a comparable or at least decent motherboard for under 450-500$. If for pure gaming than an i5 is the prime choice but if plans streaming and some other things that can use up to 8 cores then FX 8320/FX 8350 is a very good candidate and lets not forget about upcoming Steamroller, from available information that I could dig around various forums and sites. Steamroller FX 8550 should be 20-30% faster than FX 8350 Piledriver, so FX 8550 could be on par or even exceed an i7 in multi threading.

Besides, it comes more down to the silicon lottery than anything. I'd be surprised if OP seriously tries for a 24/7 over 4.5GHz.

Intel is still going cheap on TIM's and they don't solder the their damn CPU's to make them cooler.
I can go over my set amount to $1500 cause I have the money, just to let you know if that opens some possibilities up.
Then go buy an i7 and dual 7970 or soon to be released 9970 from AMD since it has way better compute units than nVidia cards. Open CL will beat and outlive CUDA that is closed standard, even latest Intel's IGP's eg Iris Pro beats in Open CL nVidia cards.
Is this build aimed towards gaming?
Wait, 1500$? I thought you said 800-1000? Anyway, 1500 opens up some damn nice possibilities. Thinking about a H110 or something similar.
Is this build aimed towards gaming?
Yes its aimed for gaming and personal everyday use as well.
ivy bridge and gtx 6xx series still kicks ass.
ivy bridge and gtx 6xx series still kicks ass.
7xx series is better than 6xx series imo. Then again, I'm not even putting AMD into this picture.
