I was wanting peoples input for one of our songs We are on facebook the bands name is In Spite of Suffering, I'm the drummer and I'll be honest I'm not too keen on the quality of the song but bear with me because these recordings are not studio quality nor do they have perfect timing,(You can also find an older recording of one of our songs at myspace.com/thiswonderswastedband) We gig and have played shows with signed bands Such as Texas In July, With Life in Mind, Where the Ocean meets the sky. it could be better, but it's ok. For how long have you guys been playing?
All together about a year as of a week ago, individualy I've been playing for 2 years, Guitarist 2 years, Vox 5 months, bass 1 year.
Vocals & lyrics are shit. The music is good, although the guitar has that annoying fuzz tone. Drums are definitely good.

Guitar tone was way too horrible to appreciate, although there are a few cool riffs in there. The vocals I thought were alright, he could do with a bit more power behind it. The way it sounds to me although it might not make sense to you is that he sounded like he was singing with a growling voice, and not actually growling since to me these kind of vocals should be full of power and aggression. Drums sounded awesome, exactly my style too. With better quality, this could be pretty good. My only concern is that you guys sound a little generic, there isn't anything unique which could make your band stand out, which I think is something every band needs. Good job though, I like it.
Thank you :) I know what you mean. I feel we are getting too generic. We started from an original idea and now everyone is drifting away from it. you can here one of our original songs without vocals at myspace.com/thiswonderswastedband.
I can't hear the bass at all
I think the guitar sound needs to be much lower. And I also agree with what other people were saying about not being really original. You guys should try something more creative rather than sounding like every other metal local band out there.

Also we didn't record bass there wasn't an easy way to do so and still make it sound good.
Not bad. Would've thought more power on the bass so it can come through would've brought the track into it's own.
Cool, I love parody bands. Me and my friends have been working on one lately as well.
Also we didn't record bass there wasn't an easy way to do so and still make it sound good.
Well you should seriously find a way.
Heres like a video someone recorded for us at our last show, its not a whole song, and please don't mind the bassist he is our old bassist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-Slg0HSiYA

The last bit starting from 2:15 is probably better than the whole song to be honest. Build it up from there and earn respect.

Just when I go to metal shows, every once in a while a local band will open and they all sound like this. The song was just kind of generic. I thought you did a pretty good job with the drums, but bad guitar and vocal sounds kind of ruin the song imo.

As stated many times above, the recording is rather terrible and sounds quite generic, but I liked the first half of your live song.

That recording is way nicer IMO and the song itself is pretty good. Great drumming, by the way.
I don't know if it's me, but it feels like the guitarist at times is either rushing or dragging with some of his rhythms. But then again 2 years of playing isn't exactly that long, so there is leeway.
I appreciate the feedback guys Thank you.
The vocals on that youtube video are awesome :D

I understand this might not be everyone's type of music. Main problem is this song is too generic but in our town we don't have that many fans we are usually frowned upon because we are so different from every local band here.
You could try spicing up your songs. Let the guitarist use a weird tuning. Or try doing so Mastodon-ish drum stuff.Or make the vocalist shut up. That's it, do an instrumental band!
That was honestly one of the worst songs I have ever heard.
