On the Discovery Channel, in March, there's going to be an 11 part series similar to (or the same as?) Planet Earth. Planet Earth was an all around success with over 70 million viewers. Hopefully the next installments will be equally amazing, but I still am wondering something about Life.
I was wondering if it was just a continuation of the already released, 11 part series or will it be new footage? I don't think that the Discovery Channel had run the entire released series did they? The ads did show what appeared to be new footage, but I don't remember the entirety of Planet Earth. I was wondering if it was like, completely brand new stuff, or remixes with old footage, so if any of you know the specifics of these episodes, please post them here. Also, is it on sale anywhere?
Oh, and feel free to discuss.

It's a completely new installment of the filming of earth. BBC even hired Oprah Winfrey to narrate so you know that shit ain't a rerun.
Oh, good to hear Pr0, but, WHY Oprah Winfrey? David Attenborough is the white Morgan Freeman.

This makes me sad.
I can imagine Oprah wanting to attach her name to something as awesome as Planet Earth, and considering how much money she has she easily pulled it off.
Why does it make you sad pick?
The BBC shouldn't reduce its standards just to please the US market.
And David alone is a VERY high standard.
why the fuck wouldn't they have david attenborough. This has been ruined for me.

:iceburn:
And this program sounds interesting.

Do you mean this?
Yeh, it's the same as the British version but with Oprah doing the voice over instead of David which is stupid.

It's not good if its not david

Not true.
But why would you ever feel the need to replace him with anyone else?
Especially since we won't have him for much longer :(
its true to me
Maybe the British version will have him narrate, in that case, I will have to gain some weight to buy it.
There needs to be a program about Jesus now to balance things out.
no there doesn't he's already been celebrated every sunday for the past 2000 years
