Donald Trump surprises Dr. Oz with results of recent physical
The "Oz" episode, taped on Wednesday morning, will air on Thursday. During it, Trump handed Dr. Mehmet Oz a one-page summary of the exam, which was conducted by Dr. Harold N. Bornstein last week. Bornstein is the same hyperbolic doctor who previously said Trump would, if elected, be the healthiest president in history.
The campaign plans to share the information from Bornstein on Thursday. But it began to leak out after the "Oz" taping.
Trump told Oz that he wants to lose about 15 pounds, according to audience members, who also said Oz sounded generally impressed by Trump's health.
This is contradicts this thread which sources an article where Trump's campaign said they wouldn't discuss this information.
What about his mental health then? Oh wait...
Isn't Oz basically a con artist?
Isn't Oz basically a con artist?
Pretty fuckin' much. You watch that show and the amount of shit he tries to push on his viewers is ridiculous.
muslim says good things about trump
audience goes wild
Isn't Oz basically a con artist?
He's a great surgeon but pseudomedicine pays more. Generally, the things that he endorses on that show are nearly all bullshit remedies but he's actually competent himself.
Can we just wait for the episode to air tomorrow before we start dissecting it
Can we just wait for the episode to air tomorrow before we start dissecting it
there's nothing to dissect, oz is a hack and barely qualified to give any credible medical opinion about anything. this is simply trump continuing to use tabloids and reality tv to plug himself to the uneducated masses (read: the majority of his voters)
ps: i doubt there's any serious medical problem with trump. people always try to claim that X presidential candidate has gigacancer to try and steal a few votes, but it's on par with obama birthers in terms of credibility. trump's probably moderately healthy, he's just an incompetent racist demagogue.

It's fair to already call it ridiculous considering the host of the show is a Snake Oil salesman. Nothing shown on air will change that fact.

He is qualified but the trustworthiness of anything he says is hugely under question.

Dr. Oz is just there to explain the results to his viewers, likely in Trump's favor which is why he made the appearance. That isn't important; the actual report is. Once the report is out we can tear it all apart, but no one has the results yet so why don't we just wait until we have it before we jump to conclusions about Trump's health?
In my opinion I don't think Oz would criticize or refute what Trump gives him on air due to the unneeded attention/backlash it would bring. He/his producers probably want to play it safe and roll with it. I would like a more in depth report, but that's just me since the more detailed the less questions.

I haven't made any conclusions about Trump's health and I don't think anything beyond some standard eldery conditions will be there.
I just think he's a moron for using Dr. Oz as the platform to do this, because although he may be a smart and qualified person he instead constantly peddles fake crap to his audience. I'd prefer it if our presidential candidates didn't use con-artists like Oz to drum up support.

rude tbh
Can we just wait for the episode to air tomorrow before we start dissecting it
The news media interviewed people that were in the audience while they were leaving. They pretty much said Trump dodged a lot of questions and the only real notable thing revealed was that he was taking something for his cholesterol.

I dont like that our elections have resorted to using popular yet inaccurate mediums to give out information aboht candidates. PR stunts like late night shows (SNL, Kimmel) and day shows like Dr. Oz aren't the best places to get information. That said, they tend to work with borrowing viewers for a campaign, so here we are. I think his appearance on Dr Oz will help him, even if it is near meaningless in substance.
You had no issue coming to conclusions about Hilary's health before a report was released
that's because trump doesn't collapse or needs people to help him walk lol

Even if you "don't like" the endless parade of populist stunts that Trump pulls off, you still give your tacit approval to whatever weirdness he pulls off. If voters don't expect any integrity from campaigning of their candidate, how on earth are they ever going to get any?

Hindsight is a funny thing.
uh that is a pretty rude generalization really and um
how is he incompetent or racist?
Even if by some miracle he didnt happen to be a racist (lmao) he's done a lot of really bigoted shit, such as the Central Park incident, the furore over the New WTC on David Letterman's show, the whole taco bowl fiasco, his claim that 'he has more Indian blood than most Indians trying to open up the reservations', accused a Latino federal judge of bias because of their ancestry, called Elizabeth Warren Pocahontas, and stonewalled a tribe's attempt at running a casino. This is just a few instances.
As for incompetent, have you read his policies and platforms and the mountains of evidence presented against them, or will you dismiss the evidence as more manufactured lies by the liberal media? Trump won't do anything for the common man, but his policies will destroy them if even half of them are put into force.
I stand by what I say when I believe neither Clinton nor Trump deserve to be elected both for different reasons, but when your choice is one or the other, I'll pick Clinton.

There have been a lot of ugly incidents surrounding Trump that nobody seems to care about. Example: The time he called Megyn Kelly a bimbo and then later played the ignorance card. "Oh, did I say that??" and that he was "regretful" for his words?
This man cannot even think before he speaks and then later plays dumb about the things he did say.
These elections are fucked.
rude tbh
maybe it's different where y'all live, but every trump supporter i've seen in person has been the most stereotypical redneck hick you can imagine.
that being said, i didn't mean to be a dick, i was in a bad mood when i made the post
How could trump be the healthiest when obviously Obama is healthier.
I wouldn't use Oz as a reference for anything to be quite honest.
Regardless, Trump seems healthy and at the very least can keep his balance, and Trump's health looks to be in stark contrast to Hillary's.
This entire health angle is fucking ridiculous to begin with. It's the same misleading bullshit Trump always pulls. He knows he's getting crushed for his hateful, racist, xenophobic rhetoric, so he's shifting focus to trying to discredit his opposition. Only reason he's doing this dumb reality TV interview with a hack daytime "doctor" is to throw fuel on the "Hillary is SECRETLY DYING!" conspiracy.
Like, honestly.
"Don't worry about my policies, don't worry about what a belligerent fuck I am. At least I'm healthy, unlike Sick Hillary!"
Might as well start spreading rumors that she's secretly not even an American. Wouldn't be the first time.
why don't we just wait until we have it before we jump to conclusions about Trump's health?
is this coming from the same poster that said this about Hillary
At this point I expect Hillary to continue with the campaign after a few days rest. Its far too late to legally replace her on most of the state ballots.
If she has another public health scare before October begins then I could see her dropping out, but I have no idea what the fallout would be from it.
It's not moronic to use Oz, it's a very smart move because he has a large audience and it does a lot more than simply releasing the medical forms on his website.
Oz advocated for homeopathy, energy therapy, faith healing, gets paid to advocate for products with no demonstrable benefits, and reparative therapy for converting gay people.
The fact that he is a qualified doctor and yet peddles this shit is disgusting and the fact that Trump is associating with him is shameful.
that's because trump doesn't collapse or needs people to help him walk lol
He needs dozens of people to get him to shut the fuck up though so that he can scratch by in ratings.
It's not moronic to use Oz, it's a very smart move because he has a large audience and it does a lot more than simply releasing the medical forms on his website.
From a tactics perspective sure. It absolutely makes sense that a fraud like Trump would go to a fraud and con man like Oz to get more exposure and TV time. It absolutely makes sense that Trump would appeal to the uneducated and the geriatric through daytime TV.
From a long-term strategy perspective, Trump keeps on pushing angles where he can swindle people if it means a short-term gain. He's borderline obese. He's old as hell. Attack Clinton all you want for her health, but Trump isn't a shining example of health for his years by any means.
All of this shit doesn't really matter, because his policy, the shit you're actually supposed to be paying attention to, is universally predicted to be a disaster. The pieces don't fit together. He's putting jobs and industries under the bus to make a quick buck. The same is true for the environment. He's puffing his chest about law and order, but his polices are going to destabilize the US, the Middle East, Europe, and the Pacific. He's also increasing government surveillance and restricting civil liberties.
