Bluetooth music receivers: Anyone have any experience?

I've been looking at picking up a small receiver to use while at the gym, on the computer, etc. For the most part though many of the most common ones have a range of 1 to 2 feet as stated by actual customers.
I just wanted to ask if anyone had any experience with any type from small portable sets to maybe something as big as an ipod nano. I've look at the Jabber Clipper as well as a few semi-portable ones meant for home stereos.
I think I may end up purchasing something like http://www.amazon.com/Miccus-BluBridge-mini-jack-Rx-Bluetooth/dp/B0038MA11U/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1323103809&sr=1-4 if I cannot find any alternatives.
There are quite a few bluetooth headsets that offer the ability to plug into the charging port with a micro-usb to 3.5 jack converter, but I want something that isn't so flimsy, because I know it will get bumped and squeezed in my pockets.
I had an iSkin Cerulean RX for my iPhone, and it was okay, the range was great, like from one side of my house to the other. The sound quality however was not that great, i could easily tell the difference between direct connection and bluetooth connection, although some of my friends couldn't. It had problems when i connected it to either one of my 2 MacBooks, it would stutter horribly after a while of usage and wouldn't stop unless you disconnected/reconnected the bluetooth signal.
While a bit costlier than the other I found what I had originally been looking for. I've heard pretty good things about this Sony Ericson receiver and it also has a fancy little screen and fm capabilities.

I was just hoping that by now it would have a lower price tag, but the bluetooth receiver market is pretty stagnant.

The Cerulean RX though only receives for ipod docks, I'm looking into something with a 3.5mm jack.
does the cord really bother you that much when you're working out? You'd be better off buying an arm strap for your MP3 player / phone and having the cord only go 2 feet to your head, with the excess properly secured in it. I don't see bluetooth headphones working that well.
The cord isn't much of a problem it's more of what it is attached to. My phone or ipod shuffle tend to fly around during cardio. For the first few minutes I don't mind but after an hour it tends to get very annoying.
It also allows me to use my computer with the ability to get up and walk around, I can put my phone on my dash now for navigation and not have a cord going into my glovebox for audio, I can use it on my bike
commute to class so I can leave my phone in my backpack and have my pockets empty, I can leave my phone in my bag at the gym ( it's a small neighborhood one.) Basically it would be pretty useful.

I can honestly deal without it, but cases for an Epic 4g are so bulky and It would be nice to leave my phone in my bag almost all the time and still be able to receive calls, texts, etc.
Also I don't really care much for my ipod, it's only use really is a pedometer or a watch when I feel like being a complete idiot.
